The Pará Center for Hemotherapy and Hematology Foundation (Hemopa) concluded the weekend of October 18 and 19 with 551 blood bags collected, a result that represents the potential to save up to 2,204 lives. The actions took place in fixed and external units across different municipalities, reinforcing the reach of the state campaign "At COP30, sustain life. Donate blood."

In Belém, the Belém Hemocenter recorded 78 bags, while the Collection Posts at Shopping Castanheira and Shopping Metrópole Ananindeua registered 26 and 33 bags, respectively. Also in the capital, the action held at Mônaco Motocenter – Augusto Montenegro totaled 51 bags, and the special program at Praça da República, which marked the launch of the campaign, totaled 25 blood bags.

The Hemonucleus of Altamira secured 41 blood bags, reinforcing the team's commitment to public health.

In the interior, the Hemocenter of Redenção, with an action in Conceição do Araguaia, led with 94 bags collected, followed by the Hemocenter of Castanhal, which obtained 93 bags during mobilization in Santa Maria do Pará, carried out in partnership with the Catholic Church and support from Sicredi. Also noteworthy were the Hemonucleus of Altamira, which promoted the Henal Campaign and collected 41 bags, the Hemonucleus of Abaetetuba (55 bags), the Hemonucleus of Capanema (33 bags), the Hemocenter of Santarém (14 bags), and the Hemonucleus of Tucuruí (8 bags).

During the campaign launch action at Praça da República, psychologist Ana Carolina Corrêa, a supporter of Clube do Remo, participated in the donation after seeing the team's call on social media. "I follow Remo's profile and saw that my team was participating in the campaign. I decided to come help. Everything is well organized, calm, but I think the fans will arrive in full soon," she said, displaying her Hemopa donor card.

The technical team of the Hemonucleus also works in educating and mobilizing new donors

Student Alessandra Freitas de Souza from the State University of Pará (Uepa) took advantage of Sunday to register as a bone marrow donor. "I had already participated in a partnership between Hemopa and the university and learned the importance of this gesture. Besides helping those in need, being a donor can also facilitate situations in academic life, such as exemption from fees in competitions," she explained.

The Hemopa Foundation continues to mobilize volunteers throughout the State, aiming to strengthen the culture of regular donation and maintain stocks at safe levels. The units remain open to welcome new donors and reinforce the collective commitment to life.
