Government of Pará announces new schedule for calls for PM and Fire Department

The next call will occur by December 2025 and includes more than 2,000 called; all approved candidates will be called by June 2026

The governor of Pará, Helder Barbalho, along with the vice-governor, Hana Ghassan, announced this Thursday (16), through their social media, the schedule for calling the approved candidates in the contests for the Military Police of Pará (PMPA) and the Military Fire Department of Pará (CBMPA).

“Folks, important news for those who were approved in the largest contest in the history of Public Security in Pará, Military Police and Military Fire Department. Today, we are here accompanying the students of the training course, and we took the opportunity to announce a new calling schedule,” informed the governor of Pará, Helder Barbalho.

The vice-governor of Pará, Hana Ghassan Tuma, added: "All approved candidates will be called within the deadline of the announcement. The next call will happen by December 15 of this year and the remaining by June 15, 2026,” she explained.

By December, the next group will be called, composed of 1,463 approved candidates in the PMPA contest, including 100 officers and 1,363 enlisted personnel. During the same period, 714 will also be appointed for the CBMPA, including 30 officers and 684 enlisted personnel.

"With this, we are valuing our troops, a commitment made, a commitment fulfilled. It’s more public safety throughout Pará. And let’s get to work, thank you! “, concluded the governor.

And by the second half of June 2026, new calls are scheduled for both contests, with 1,496 called for the Military Police, divided into 134 officers and 1,362 enlisted personnel, and 744 for the Fire Department, including 60 officers and 684 enlisted personnel.

Recall - The first appointment of the two contests occurred on April 4, 2025, with the calling of 1,585 approved candidates in total: 1,100 for the PM of Pará (1,000 enlisted personnel and 100 officers) and 485 for admission and incorporation into the Fire Department (455 enlisted personnel and 30 officers).

The PMPA contest was launched in September 2023, for the positions of officer and enlisted personnel, with tests conducted in December of that same year. The CBMPA contest was launched in October 2023, for the positions of officer and enlisted personnel, with tests conducted in January 2024. The announcement represents another advance in the renewal and expansion of the public security forces in the State. The expansion of the workforce aims to strengthen the fight against crime and improve the response to incidents throughout the State.
