Seplad begins delivery of the athlete kit for the XII Race, Walk, and V Cycling Tour of the Server
The delivery goes until tomorrow (16), at the Seplad headquarters, located at Travessa do Chaco, 2350, Marco. The event will be on Saturday (18), at the Utinga State Park.
The Government of Pará, through the State Secretariat of Planning and Administration (Seplad), began, this Wednesday (15), the delivery of the athlete kit for the servers who will participate in the XII Race, Walk, and V Cycling Tour of the Server, next Saturday (18). The delivery goes until tomorrow (16), at the Seplad headquarters, located at Travessa do Chaco, 2350, Marco.
“We are very happy to hold another edition of the Server Race, an event that is already part of our calendar and symbolizes care for health, well-being, and integration among servers. Today and tomorrow we are delivering the athlete kits, and it is very gratifying to see the enthusiasm and participation of so many servers. The race is a moment of celebration, encouragement for sports practice, and also strengthening ties within the public service,” explains the Director of Occupational Health of the Server at Seplad, Thais Santos.
This year, the event brings a novelty: the number of spots has been increased to 2,000, with 1,700 for the race, 200 for the walk, and 100 for the cycling tour.
“This is my second participation, and I believe it is a very important initiative for the server because it encourages us to really take care of our health. We know the benefits of running not only for the body but also for the mind and emotions. Moreover, it is a way to interact with other servers, get to know them, and motivate them to participate. For example, I managed to convince my fiancé, who is also a server, to run with me, and that is very positive because we end up inspiring other people,” said the server from the State University of Pará, Laís Sena Leal.
The race will be this Saturday (18), at the Utinga State Park, in Belém. The concentration will be at 5 AM. The cycling tour and the race will have a distance of 8 km, with the start at 5:30 AM and 6 AM, respectively. The walk will have a distance of 4 km, and the start will be after the race begins.
“I have participated in the Server Race since the first edition and have been running for many years, since I was 15 or 16 years old. I started to enjoy running, and since then, I have participated in some running groups. In recent years, I have noticed that this sport has grown a lot, gained visibility, and reached more people — which is very positive for the server. Being active is very beneficial, and besides running, I also try to encourage other people to run,” said the server Vandro Nascimento.
Award - In the Running category, the first place will receive a prize of R$ 4,500.00; the second, R$ 2,400; and the third, R$ 1,500. In the Cycling Tour category, there will be no prize, however, a raffle worth R$ 1,000.00 will be held among the participants. This prize is valid for both the female and male categories.
