The National Day of the Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist, celebrated on October 13, reinforces the importance of these professionals in the rehabilitation and resumption of patients' autonomy. At the Regional Public Hospital of the East (HRPL), in Paragominas, in southeastern Pará, between January and September of this year, the Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy team performed more than 16 thousand services, an essential work for the functional recovery and quality of life of the unit's users.

Physiotherapist Patrícia Costa, responsible for the physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy services, explained that, "in the hospital context, these professionals work in an integrated manner with doctors, nurses, and other health professionals, ensuring comprehensive care for the patient. Teamwork allows for more resolutive care, with specific interventions to accelerate recovery and improve the quality of life of users, considering their physical and emotional needs."
