The Government of Pará delivered 1,114 new prescription glasses for free to residents of the Tapanã neighborhood in Belém on Tuesday (14). The action benefited people who had already undergone consultations and eye exams during the "For All of Them" project, held on September 12 at the Aldebaro Klautau State School.

The delivery took place at the school itself in the afternoon, reinforcing the state government's commitment to ensuring more health and quality of life for the population.

Resident Erika Souza, 38, was one of the beneficiaries and celebrated receiving the glasses along with her daughter, little Maria Alice, 7 years old. "We are very happy with this care. Now, both my daughter and I will see better. It is a relief to know that we can count on this type of action," she stated.

Another resident of the neighborhood, Ana Maria Ribeiro, 63, also received new glasses and highlighted the importance of the benefit. "I felt blessed. I needed to change my glasses for a long time, and now I have managed to do so. It was a great help for me," she shared.

In addition to the glasses, wheelchairs were also delivered to people with disabilities, expanding the social reach of the initiative. One of the beneficiaries was retiree Costa Fernandes, 63, who received his new wheelchair and also secured his prescription glasses. "I am very happy. Now I will be able to move around more easily and see better," he celebrated.

The Secretary of Citizenship Articulation, Elieth Braga, emphasized the importance of the project for the visual health and well-being of the families served. "The For All of Them project has transformed lives throughout Pará. Taking care of vision is ensuring autonomy, self-esteem, and quality of life, especially for women and their families," she stated.

For All of Them - Created in 2024, the "For All of Them" program has already provided over 190,000 services throughout Pará, offering more than 30 types of free services in health, citizenship, and leisure. The state initiative aims not only to guarantee essential services to Pará women and their families but also to strengthen the debate on women's participation as protagonists in the construction of rights and in society.

Service - People who were served on September 12 and could not attend the delivery on Tuesday (14) can pick up their glasses at the Usina da Paz in Bengui, located on Estrada do Bengui, s/n, next to the Detran Retention Yard. It is necessary to present an official identification document to pick up the glasses.
