Sefa seizes 31 cubic meters of wood in Cachoeira do Piriá, northeastern Pará
Goods valued at R$ 43 thousand left Mazagão (AP) for Parelhas (RN)

At the Coordination of Control of Goods in Transit of Sefa do Gurupi, located in the municipality of Cachoeira do Piriá, northeastern Pará, bordering Maranhão, state tax inspectors seized, this Sunday (12), a load of 31 cubic meters of wood, valued at R$ 43,158.51, which left Mazagão (AP) destined for Parelhas (RN).
“After the delivery of the tax documents, the officials suspected the veracity of the information, as, upon analyzing the issuance date of the invoice as well as the Electronic Transport Knowledge (CTE) for waterway transport, they noticed that the issuance date of both was in August, while the road CTE was issued in October. The physical verification of the load showed that the wood had been cut just a few days ago,” reported the coordinator of the tax unit, Gustavo Bozola.

Due to the indications of irregularity, the invoice was disregarded and a Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) was drawn up, in the amount of R$ 9,322.24, charging the state tax and fine.
