Security teams monitor the route of the Virgin of Nazaré's road transfer
At the Integrated Command and Control Center, located at the headquarters of Segup, security agents monitor the route of the 2nd procession of the Círio de Nazaré

Integrated agents from the state security forces are gathered at the State Integrated Command and Control Center, the CICC, located at the headquarters of the Secretariat of Public Security and Social Defense (Segup), monitoring the 50-kilometer route traveled by the carriage of Our Lady of Nazaré during the Transfer, which began this Friday, the 10th. The road procession left the Basilica of Nazaré in Belém and headed to Marituba and Ananindeua. The security actions coordinated by Segup involve more than 12,000 agents in the planned scheme for the Nazaré Festivity 2025.
“For another year, the security teams are following this, which is one of the main and most traditional processions of the Círio de Nazaré. With the agents gathered at the CICC, it is possible to monitor the entire movement of the pilgrimage, so that we can act if necessary, as well as monitor to ensure that everything proceeds with the utmost safety, especially for those accompanying the procession,” said the Secretary of Public Security of Pará, Ualame Machado.
The procession began at 8 a.m. After the Holy Mass at the Basilica Sanctuary, the Pilgrim Image was placed on the float in a vehicle from the Federal Highway Police (PRF). To ensure the safety of pilgrims and devotees, the Military Police deployed more than 400 agents, in addition to the personnel on duty.
Traffic was blocked at 23 points by traffic authorities, aiming to ensure better flow for the Transfer - as the image of the Saint passed the blockade points, they were released.

CICC and monitoring - From the Integrated Command and Control Center, it is possible to monitor all 49 tributes planned along the route. Through the mosaic of cameras from the video monitoring of the Integrated Operations Center, the Ciop, agents follow the development of the pilgrimage until its arrival at the Matriz Church of Ananindeua.
With cameras spread throughout the entire route, agents monitor everything in real-time, being ready to resolve occurrences, as well as preventing and anticipating eventualities that may hinder the flow of the procession. Monitoring continues until the Saint reaches its final destination in Ananindeua.
"As planned in operational meetings, everything is proceeding according to our guidelines so that the Transfer goes without any alterations. The presence of focal points and integrated security forces allows us to monitor the progress of the Carriage with greater precision and thus ensure that everyone can experience this moment with tranquility and safety,” said the Deputy Secretary of Operational Management of Segup, Colonel Ed-lin.
The action also involves health and emergency response agencies such as the Red Cross, Fire Department, and Civil Defense to expedite assistance to pilgrims accompanying the Transfer on the roads.
Transfer to Ananindeua - The Transfer Procession has been held since 1992 and is the longest of all the pilgrimages of the Círio. Along the route, companies, public agencies, institutions, residential condominiums, and devotees pay tribute to Our Lady of Nazaré.
Círio Operation 2022 - More than 12,000 agents from state public security forces, in addition to federal, municipal, and partner agencies, will be employed in actions during the "Círio Operation 2025," coordinated by the Secretariat of Public Security and Social Defense (Segup).
