Emphasizing the value of the patient experience, the Regional Public Hospital of Marajó (HRPM), in Breves, held on Tuesday (7) the first edition of the Project “Hospital Discharge – Caring with Art and Affection”. The initiative aims to apply a satisfaction survey - NPS (Net Promoter Score), at the time of discharge, improving the quality of care and identifying opportunities for improvement in the services provided.

During the action, the team presented the patient with a mango seedling, symbolizing a new cycle of life and care. Emotionally moved, the user Maria Elisabeth Leite da Costa, 77 years old, thanked for the welcome received and shared the challenges experienced during her hospitalization. “Now, Mrs. Maria Elisabeth returns home ready to contribute even more to the planet with her fruit tree seedling, which symbolizes a new moment of her care for health and in caring for her loved ones, in full respect for life,” said the physician and Technical Director of HRPM, Marcello Ferreira.

The patient, a resident of Breves, highlighted the hospitalization as an experience marked by the care and attention of the health team. The action reinforced HRPM's commitment to the patient experience, promoting learning, emotional bonding, and continuity of care after discharge.

For the executive director of HRPM, Jusciely Pereira Machado, “hospital discharge is a moment of great significance for the patient and their family. By combining satisfaction research, welcome, and a symbolic gesture, we are able not only to evaluate the quality of care but also to generate a positive and emotional impact that contributes to mental health and the appreciation of life. This is our daily commitment: to care with art and affection,” she emphasized.

Approval – Last month, HRPM celebrated 15 years of operation, surpassing 3.8 million attendances, benefiting more than 340,000 inhabitants of the municipalities linked to the 8th Regional Health Center (CRS), establishing itself as a reference in medium and high complexity in the region. From January to August 2024, the Regional of Marajó recorded an average user satisfaction of 99.4%.
