The exhibition can be visited for free at Theodoro Braga Gallery

The catalog of the exhibition "Crossings" will be launched this Thursday (9), including a conversation circle with the exhibition curator, Marisa Mokarzel, and the artist Marcone Moreira, winner of the Branco de Melo Award 2025, promoted by the Cultural Foundation of Pará (FCP). The event will take place at 10 am at Theodoro Braga Gallery, located in the basement of the Foundation, with free entry.

The catalog, whose content will allow visitors to understand all the series presented in the exhibition, along with the complete critical text from the curatorship, will be distributed free of charge to those present at the launch. Students from the Arts course at Unama (University of the Amazon) will also participate in the event as part of a class proposal by Professor Mariano Klautau.

Marcone Moreira wants to share his creative process

Research and Work - For Marcone Moreira, it is important to show the work and hear the impressions and readings of the audience. "The proposal is to share a little more of my process, which involves contact with traditional communities and field trips for research and material collection. I will present a series of images and comment a bit on the research and work process, such as the emergence and development of some projects. It is always good to exhibit, show the work, and hear the impressions and readings of the audience, but also behind the work, there are many processes that are not clearly visible. Since I will receive a group of Visual Arts students, I am interested in sharing these processes, motivations, and more intimate parts, and from there I hope to provoke a conversation to naturally generate this exchange. Art is also communication; communication happens through exchange," he emphasized.

The Exhibition "Crossings" will be open to the public until October 17, from 8 am to 7 pm, and features works from the Amazon naval universe, such as paintings, wooden objects, and photographs.

Service: Launch of the catalog of the exhibition "Crossings," including a conversation circle with the artist Marcone Moreira. On October 9 (Thursday), at 10 am, at Theodoro Braga Gallery (basement of the Cultural Foundation of Pará), at Avenida Gentil Bittencourt, No. 650, Nazaré neighborhood. Free entry.
