Hemopa intensifies donor mobilization in October with the campaign 'At COP30, sustain life. Donate blood'
The program includes more than 15 external actions in Belém and the Metropolitan Region to reinforce blood stocks before the Círio and COP30

The Pará Center for Hemotherapy and Hematology Foundation (Hemopa) intensifies, throughout the month of October, the campaign 'At COP30, sustain life. Donate blood', which connects solidarity and sustainability at a strategic moment for the State. The action aims to increase blood stocks and prepare the institution for both the movement of the Círio de Nazaré and the largest global conference on climate change, which will be held in Belém in 2025.
Hemopa emphasizes that donating blood is a simple, quick, and safe gesture capable of saving up to four lives with each act. The theme of the campaign draws a parallel between caring for the planet and caring for human life, encouraging the population to adopt donation as a continuous practice of social responsibility.
According to Juciara Farias, social worker and Donor Recruitment Manager at Hemopa, October is a decisive period. "The month of October is marked by significant movement in Belém, both due to the Círio and the proximity of COP. This increases our responsibility to maintain regular blood stocks. Our social plea is for the population to adopt donation as an act of collective and civic responsibility," she highlighted.
Also according to Juciara, in addition to the awareness campaign, Hemopa is organizing a solidarity scavenger hunt among state agencies and institutions, mobilizing public servants in donation caravans. "This is a scavenger hunt that saves lives. More than a competition, it is a mobilization of solidarity. Each donation is an action that reinforces our capacity to serve," she added.
