Department of Finance (Sefa) seizes machine, tires, and ATV
Seizures occurred in the regions of Baixo Amazonas and Carajás

During an inspection by the State Department of Finance (Sefa), conducted by state revenue inspectors assigned to the Coordination of Goods in Transit Control in Tapajós, Baixo Amazonas, on Monday (6), various goods worth R$ 730,727.63 were seized, which had departed on a boat from Manaus (Amazonas) destined for the port of Santarém (PA).
“Fourteen truck tires were seized, with an internal invoice from Amazonas, meaning goods leaving Manaus for Manaus. In this case, an Infraction Notice (Ainf) was issued, disregarding the presented invoice, as it involved the device known as transit break, where the fiscal document indicates one destination and the goods are delivered elsewhere; a new ATV, also with an internal invoice from Amazonas, and 626 automotive tires of various models, issued with the state registration of a tax substitute, whose state registration was suspended, and in this case, the company could not issue a fiscal document or purchase goods,” informed coordinator Roberto Mota.
To collect the tax and fine, three Terms of Seizure and Deposit (TADs) were issued totaling R$ 147,026.56.

Machinery - State revenue inspectors from Sefa, assigned to the Coordination Unit for Goods in Transit Control in Araguaia, southeastern Pará, seized a mineral dehydration machine valued at R$ 435,202.21.
The seizure also occurred on Monday (6), at the fiscal post on Highway PA 447, km 15, in Conceição do Araguaia. The fiscal document regarding the importation of the machinery indicated that it was intended for a tax contributor in Curionópolis-PA.
“The inspection found that the importing taxpayer used a tax benefit granted to companies with National Classification of Economic Activities (CNAE) agroindustrial, however, the recipient has a CNAE for mineral extraction. Thus, they attempted to collect only 7% of the ICMS import tax, but the benefit was not valid, and the correct rate is 19%,” informed coordinator Luís Renato Couto.
A Term of Seizure and Deposit (TAD) was issued with the amount of R$115,763.79, referring to the tax plus a fine.
