The Symphony Orchestra of Theatro da Paz honors Círio de Nazaré and moves the audience
The show was conducted by the principal conductor Miguel Campos Neto and celebrated the processions of the Marian pilgrimage

With the show "OSTP in honor of Círio de Nazaré", the Symphony Orchestra of Theatro da Paz moved the audience present at the venue on the night of this Monday (6). The concert was conducted by the principal conductor Miguel Campos Neto and featured the Carlos Gomes Choir and the Community Choir of EMUFPA.

The state secretary of culture, Ursula Vidal, who was present, emphasized the importance of carrying out actions related to Círio during one of the most special periods of the city. "It is a concert in honor of Círio de Nazaré. Our city, which is already experiencing this very special, unique, and singular atmosphere, and our Theatro da Paz with our Symphony Orchestra and very special participations, also opens its doors for the Círio programming, in this week when our hearts begin to beat differently."

The first part of the concert featured the performance of two Ave Marias, produced in different historical periods, by the Orchestra along with soprano Dione Colares. In the second part, the piece "Sinfonia do Círio" was performed, composed by Luís Pardal, inspired by the text of poet João de Jesus Paes Loureiro, who was present and narrated.

Pardal explains that the idea for the production of the piece "Sinfonia do Círio" arose from an invitation from a friend and was inspired by the text of João de Jesus Paes Loureiro. According to him, it is very significant to launch the work to the public, in general, during the week of the festival. "It is an inspiration from my faith and all the people of Pará for Our Lady. The experience of Círio is part of our lives, and this symphony is within that experience," added the composer.
The action is from the government of Pará, through the State Secretary of Culture (Secult), Theatro da Paz, and the Paraense Academy of Music (APM) in partnership with the Federal University of Pará.

Pedagogue Adriano Silva was enchanted by the sensitivity of the show during such a special period for Belém. "I found it a very beautiful, moving show that touches on what is most important, which is Círio, it touches our soul and the show addresses that well."
He also adds that the period of Círio de Nazaré calls for more cultural programming in the city and that the show was a great idea.
