The suspect was presented to the Police Station and is already at the disposal of Justice. The investigations continue to arrest other involved parties.

The Civil Police of Pará, through the Division of Repression to Thefts and Robberies (DRFR), arrested a man on Monday (6) who was being investigated for involvement in a robbery homicide that occurred last Friday (3). The crime victimized a man within the premises of a candle factory located in the Levilândia neighborhood, Ananindeua.

The specialized teams are conducting continuous investigations to identify and capture the perpetrators of the crime, as well as recover the stolen goods from the victim and clarify the circumstances of the criminal act.

“During the investigations, DRFR police obtained access to images from the surveillance cameras of a transport company neighboring the crime scene, from which it was possible to visualize the vehicle used by the criminals in their escape. The recorded images showed a silver car, and upon checking the systems, the owner of the vehicle was identified,” explained delegate Arthur do Rosário, head of the DRFR.

A team went to the owner's address, where she was taken to the police unit and spontaneously declared that she had rented the vehicle to a man. With this information, the police went to the provided address and located the vehicle parked near the suspect's residence, who was approached, arrested in the act, and taken to the headquarters of the Division of Repression to Thefts and Robberies (DRFR).

“We managed to seize the vehicle used in the criminal act and the cell phone belonging to him, which will be sent for technical examination to verify communication records, location, and contacts that may clarify the dynamics and authorship of the crime. In a formal interrogation, the man admitted to having transported the executors of the crime and that he received payment in cash for the service, although he denied direct participation. He also stated that, despite suspecting the illicit nature of the ride, he accepted to do it due to financial necessity,” continued the delegate.

In addition to the suspects who were in the car, there are indications that other individuals participated in the criminal act using a support motorcycle. The arrested individual was taken to the police unit, where the arrest record was drawn up, and he is at the disposal of the Judiciary. Investigations continue to identify and arrest the other involved parties.
