The community of the district of Icoaraci is preparing to soon welcome the new Peace Factory of the capital of Pará. The unit is in the final construction phase, with over 99% of the services already completed, and will be delivered this semester by the Government of Pará, expanding the network of social equipment that already benefits thousands of families in the Metropolitan Region of Belém and in the interior of the State.

For the residents of the traditional "Vila Sorriso", expectations are high for the arrival of the Peace Factory, as stated by seller Maria de Fátima Farias, 60 years old. "Our expectation is very high, especially for our children who need sports and education a lot. I am also looking forward to the gastronomy courses, to enhance my knowledge in this area, since I work selling coffee with tapioca," said the resident of the Cruzeiro neighborhood.

Housewife Thelma Suely, 54 years old, hopes that the professional training courses can change the community's reality. "I have heard very good things about the Factory and I think it's great to have an investment like this here in this region. I intend to learn about the project and participate in the courses that will be offered," said Thelma.

Infrastructure - Located on Travessa do Cruzeiro, the Peace Factory has a modern and fully equipped structure, which will offer more than 70 free services in the areas of citizenship, sports, leisure, culture, professional training, and health, strengthening public policies aimed at inclusion and social transformation.

The complex will have structured rooms for document issuance and health services, libraries, study rooms, computer rooms, a gastronomy room, rooms for professional qualification courses, as well as spaces like a theater, multicultural square for events, workshop, swimming pool, sports complex, sand court, outdoor gym, and children's playground.

TerPaz - The project of the Peace Factories is part of the Territories for Peace (TerPaz) program, which seeks to promote citizenship and opportunities in areas of greater social vulnerability. In Icoaraci, the expectation is that thousands of residents will be directly served and benefited.

"The UsiPaz of Icoaraci represents another space for social transformation. We are getting close to delivering to the population a structure that will welcome, provide essential services, and open pathways for children, young people, adults, and the elderly to have more opportunities and quality of life. It is a project designed to strengthen citizenship and ensure inclusion," said the State Secretary of Citizenship Articulation, Elieth Braga.

Currently, 17 Factories are in full operation, in the capital (Jurunas/Condor, Guamá, Terra Firme, Bengui, and Cabanagem) and in the municipalities of Ananindeua, Marituba, Benevides, Castanhal, Capanema, Moju, Bragança, Abaetetuba, Tucuruí, Marabá, Parauapebas, and Canaã dos Carajás.

Future units - New Peace Factories are under construction in municipalities of different regions of Pará. The goal is to expand the project to municipalities in the interior, bringing the same structure of citizenship and opportunities to more cities in Pará.

In addition to Icoaraci, new units of the largest citizenship complex in Latin America are under construction in the cities of Altamira, Cametá, Paragominas, Santa Izabel do Pará, Redenção, Itaituba, Santarém, Viseu, Igarapé-Miri, Barcarena, Breves, Dom Eliseu, São Miguel do Guamá, Portel, Parauapebas (second Factory), Óbidos, Salinópolis, Tomé-Açu, and São Félix do Xingu.
