Treasury Department (Sefa) seizes a boat valued at R$ 2 million in Cachoeira do Piriá
Vehicle left Guararapes (PE) heading to Belém (PA) and was detained by inspection

State revenue inspectors seized a new boat valued at R$ 2 million on Thursday (2) at the Coordination of Goods in Transit Control of the State Treasury Department (Sefa). The unit is located in the Gurupi region, in the municipality of Cachoeira do Piriá, northeastern Pará, bordering Maranhão.
“The flatbed truck carrying a boat, originating from Guararapes (PE) heading to Belém (PA), was detained by inspection. After the delivery of the tax documents, the officials verified that the tax collection made by the taxpayer was lower than what was actually due, in the specific case of the ICMS (Difal) Differential Rate,” reported the unit coordinator, Gustavo Bozola.
The amount related to tax and fine was corrected with the issuance of the Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) charging R$ 46,204.20. The Treasury Department has eight border units for the control of goods in transit. In addition to inspecting the northeastern and southeastern regions of the state, there is also a unit for inspecting ports and airports.
