HC Gaspar Vianna is included in Anvisa's Positive List on Patient Safety
The recognition highlights the consolidation of the patient safety culture and the continuous improvement of care in the institution

The Hospital de Clínicas Gaspar Vianna (HCGV), in Belém, has been included in the Positive List of Notifications from the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) for the year 2024. The recognition is aimed at health services that reported incidents and adverse events related to care in the Notivisa system over twelve consecutive months.
According to Anvisa, the list highlights institutions that have consolidated monitoring and risk prevention practices, strengthening the culture of patient safety in the country. Nurse Milena Palheta, coordinator of the Quality and Patient Safety Center (NQSP) at HCGV, emphasized that this achievement represents a milestone for the institution.
“It is with great satisfaction that we share that the Hospital de Clínicas Gaspar Vianna has been included in the Positive List of Notifications from Anvisa for the year 2024. This achievement represents a significant transformation in the culture of patient safety in our institution. Being on the Positive List does not mean we no longer have problems; on the contrary. It demonstrates our maturity in identifying, notifying, and learning from safety incidents, turning them into opportunities for continuous improvement,” she stated.
The advancement is also related to the ongoing training work developed by the NQSP, which promotes constant training for staff to guide them on the importance of reporting in the system. These actions reinforce the practice of safety as a shared responsibility among all professionals.
The recognition is the result of the collective work of the hospital's multiprofessional team, which has invested in quality processes and safe practices to ensure better care for the population of Pará.

In addition to HCGV, six other hospitals in Pará also appear on Anvisa's list, including the Ophir Loyola Hospital, a state reference in oncology.
