State Government delivers garbage truck to Rio Maria and starts Regulariza Pará Mutirão
The Regulariza Pará Mutirão offers services such as Rural Environmental Registration (CAR), Environmental Regularization Program (PRA), and environmental licensing to support producers in regularization and strengthening sustainable production.

The government of the State of Pará began this week the Regulariza Pará Mutirão in the municipality of Rio Maria, offering services such as Rural Environmental Registration (CAR), Environmental Regularization Program (PRA), and environmental licensing to support producers in regularization and strengthening sustainable production. During the start of the program, still on Saturday (27), the State delivered a garbage collection and compaction truck to the municipality at the Agricultural Exhibition Park.
The delivery event brought together representatives from the state government, municipal management, and the private sector, reinforcing the integration between different segments. Among those present were Roberto Paulinelli, a businessman in sustainable livestock in Southern Pará; the Secretary of the Environment of Rio Maria, Isnaldo Alves; and the Semas team, composed of André Absolão, Director of Forest and Agrosilvopastoral Management; Marcelo Moreno, Director of Environmental Licensing; and Valto Júnior, Coordinator of Agropastoral and Industrial Management. The Regulariza Pará Program team also visited the park, accompanying the delivery and the start of the mutirão activities.

“The garbage truck delivered to the municipality brings direct benefits to urban cleaning and environmental preservation, in addition to facilitating the work of the city hall and rural producers,” highlighted Isnaldo Alves, Secretary of the Environment of Rio Maria. He thanked Governor Helder Barbalho, Vice Governor Hana Ghassan, the city hall of Rio Maria, and the Semas team for their commitment to the city.
The mayor of the municipality, Márcia Ferreira, celebrated the delivery and emphasized the importance of the partnership with Semas. “It is a great joy to receive this truck, which will help our rural producers with guidance, licensing, and CAR, ensuring that they can work legally and sustainably. I thank the governor, the deputy secretary, and the entire Semas team for their support. We also started the work of the Regulariza Pará Mutirão, and this is a historic gain for Rio Maria, which will positively impact waste collection and environmental preservation in our municipality,” she said.

The Regulariza Pará program facilitated the delivery of the truck to the municipality under a licensing model aligned with good ESG (environmental, social, and governance) practices in partnership with the multinational JBS S.A., demonstrating the integration between the public and private sectors for sustainable development.
“The delivery of this truck and the start of the Regulariza Pará Mutirão show Semas' commitment to support municipalities and producers in environmental regularization, ensuring sustainable development, legal security, and rural environmental adequacy with a commitment to restoration. With this partnership, we are bringing the State closer to the population and offering concrete solutions to strengthen the low-carbon economy and the sustainability of rural activity in Pará,” emphasized Rodolpho Zahluth Bastos, Deputy Secretary of Environmental Management and Regularity of Semas.

The event also marked a visit from the Regulariza Pará team to the Exhibition Park of Rio Maria, allowing state government representatives to get to know the space and engage with producers about the stages of CAR, PRA, and environmental licensing.
The event also included the participation of representatives from civil society and local producers with the support of the rural union of Rio Maria, reinforcing the importance of integration between government, the private sector, and rural communities.
