Department of Finance (Sefa) seizes 27 tons of wheat in Cachoeira do Piriá
Seized cargo in the state northeast was valued at R$ 197 thousand
State tax inspectors from the State Department of Finance of Pará (Sefa) stationed at the Coordination of Goods in Transit in Gurupi, in Cachoeira do Piriá, northeastern Pará, seized 1,084 bags of wheat flour. The seizure occurred on Monday (29), and the cargo was valued at R$ 197,100.00.
The driver of the bulk carrier transporting the cargo presented an invoice for 27 tons of wheat flour, originating from Ipojuca, Pernambuco, and destined for Tailândia, in northeastern Pará.
“The vehicle underwent a physical check, and it was confirmed that there were 1,080 bags of wheat flour of 25 kg each, totaling 27,000 kg of goods,” reported the coordinator, Gustavo Bozola.
In the systems analysis, it was verified that the recipient company had its state registration suspended, and therefore could not sell goods or issue tax documents.
A Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) was drawn up, totaling R$ 48,013.56, referring to the tax and fine.
Armored bus systems – On the same day, state tax inspectors stationed at the Coordination of Goods in Transit of Carajás, southeastern Pará, seized three armored bus systems, originating from São Paulo/SP destined for Belém (PA). The cargo was valued at R$ 110,842.85. The seizure occurred in the municipality of São Geraldo do Araguaia.
“During the document and tax analysis, the inspectors found that the taxpayer failed to collect the ICMS differential rate (Difal) that is due upon the entry of the goods into the State of Pará. A Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) was drawn up in the amount of R$ 18,621.58, already considering ICMS and fine,” reported the coordinator Cicinato Oliveira.
