Detran conducts over 80 vehicle registrations in Portel

The municipality of Portel, in the Marajó region, has been receiving a mobile vehicle action from the State Department of Transit (Detran) since the last 23rd. The aim is to regularize the fleet by offering various services quickly and accessibly. Since the start of the service, 82 registrations have already been completed, making it the most sought-after service by vehicle owners so far.

The vehicle identification registration is mandatory and is obtained through the payment of administrative fees and inspection at Detran. To receive the service, it is enough to present the invoice for the car or motorcycle, chassis rubbing, proof of residence, ID, and driver's license of the owner. If financed, it is also necessary to present the financing contract. According to the Brazilian Traffic Code (CTB), driving a vehicle without a license plate is illegal and can result in a fine of R$ 293.47, in addition to 7 points on the driver's license and retention of the vehicle until regularization.

Recently, Detran conducted an inspection operation in the municipality and found that irregularities are among the most common in the city's traffic. To ensure that the population can regularize and travel safely and peacefully, without worrying about fines, the vehicle team from Detran in Belém is in the municipality to provide the necessary services.

“Portel does not have a Regional Traffic Circumscription (Ciretran), and to obtain Detran services, drivers need to travel to Breves. With the mobile service, the population can be attended close to home, without having to go to another city,” explains the vehicle registration coordinator of Detran, Enrique Barbosa.

According to him, out of the total services in this first week, 137 processes have already been resolved. The action does not require scheduling and includes annual licensing services and previous years, cancellation and inclusion of encumbrance, property and jurisdiction transfer, second copy of the CRV, inspection, and first registration, among other services.
