During a fiscal operation carried out in the municipality of Oriximiná, in the Lower Amazon Integration Region, western Pará, goods worth R$ 137,871.60 were seized. Conducted on Friday (26), the action mobilized state tax inspectors from the State Department of Finance (Sefa), assigned to the Coordination of Goods in Transit Control of Tapajós, with support from the Military Police.

Bales of soda were found in the seized load in the Lower Amazon

“A motorcycle; 3,690 bales of soda; motorcycle parts and kits for gas stations were seized. The goods were being brought into the State of Pará without the fiscal documentation required by law,” reported coordinator Roberto Mota.

To collect the tax and the fine, Terms of Seizure and Deposit (TADs) were issued, totaling R$ 46,547.68.

Fertilizers - Also on the 26th, at the Coordination of Goods in Transit Control of Gurupi, in Cachoeira do Piriá, northeastern Pará, 50 tons of sweepings, as fertilizer residues are known, were seized. The invoice indicated that the goods had left Bonito (PA), destined for Buriticupu (MA), which raised suspicion among the inspectors as it was not the closest route to the stated destination.

“The driver of the bulk truck presented an invoice for fertilizer residue, and the inspection team decided to conduct a physical verification of the load, confirming that it was homogeneous fertilizer used in plant cultivation. The goods, totaling R$ 21,525.80, were retained, and a Term of Seizure and Deposit was issued for R$ 10,229.06, due to inaccurate information in the fiscal document,” reported coordinator Gustavo Bozola.
