The Mobile Integrated Command and Control Center (CICCM), linked to the Secretary of Public Security and Social Defense (Segup), is ensuring safety, monitoring, and promptness in reporting incidents during the "43rd Pineapple Festival" in the Cafezal Village, in the municipality of Barcarena. The integrated actions began last Thursday (25) and will continue until next Sunday (28).

The mobile CICC was installed in front of the Eco Park Cafezal, and on the second night of the festival, it continues to gather focal points from the security forces. From this location, images from the public security totems installed in the municipality of Barcarena and 50 security cameras installed inside and around the entire structure and access roads to the event are being monitored, in partnership with the municipal government, so that in the event of any incident, security agents can act promptly and maintain the tranquility of all.

According to the Secretary of Public Security and Social Defense, Ualame Machado, the State Security System is providing all the necessary support and actions to ensure that the event proceeds as planned and that people enjoy themselves safely and peacefully. "For another year, the security teams are acting in an integrated manner, in this traditional festival of the city of Barcarena, which brings together thousands of people every year. In addition to our Mobile Command and Control Center that is installed, gathering public security forces, with daily alignments and planning throughout the festival, to ensure safety and public order for all who participate in the program," he informed.

All security actions are being carried out in an integrated manner, with visible policing on foot and in vehicles by the Military Police; traffic monitoring and control by teams from the State Department of Transit in partnership with the Municipal Department of Transit; monitoring of individuals using electronic ankle bracelets by the Search and Recapture Group and monitoring to prevent thefts and robberies by the Secretary of Intelligence and Criminal Analysis.

The work of the Civil Police is also reinforced at the CICC, in order to register incidents and respond to flagrant offenses promptly. Meanwhile, teams from the Military Fire Department and Civil Defense provide pre-hospital care, readiness for fire fighting, and rescue. The Scientific Police team remains on standby to conduct forensic examinations if necessary.

"We appreciate the presence of the State and all the partnership with the city hall so that we can act integrated and ensure safety at the festival. Today, the event is expecting an audience of about 40,000 people, with great attractions, so the crowd is large. But we are confident that everything will go well, as it did on the first day and will in the coming days. So we will continue working together to ensure everything goes smoothly. In fact, the presence of the security forces, the Segup CICC that is already seen by everyone arriving, brings a very strong sense of security to the people arriving and also serves as a great warning to those with bad intentions. So let’s have an excellent festival!" said the Municipal Secretary of Security, Virgílio Nunes.

The Eco Park Cafezal opened its gates at 8 PM for the large audience that enjoyed the second night of the festival featuring attractions such as DJ Malifoo, Alok, Nattan, and Jota Quest.

Eron Santos, public servant

For public servant and Barcarena resident Eron Santos, the event gets better and bigger every year, and having police presence on site makes all the difference for a peaceful enjoyment. "I always participate in the Pineapple Festival, I have lived here for 40 years, and we are always here supporting this event, which is very important as it promotes the municipality of Barcarena and brings us great attractions, even international ones. So for us residents and also for those coming from other places to enjoy the event, the issue of public safety is very positive, as it prevents violence, theft, and other crimes that could occur here in a place filled with families having fun. So, the Barcarena city hall and public security deserve congratulations," said Eron.

About 464 public security agents are working in an integrated manner in the actions that will continue until next Sunday (28), including: Civil and Military Police, Military Fire Department, State Transit Department (Detran), State Scientific Police (PCE), State Secretary of Penitentiary Administration (Seap), and also the security and transit agencies of Barcarena.
