Fire Department inspects Amusement Park
The corporation is set to return this Saturday (27) so that, if the release is granted, the Park can start its activities on the same day

As part of public safety activities at the Círio de Nazaré, the Fire Department of Pará (CBM) conducted a technical inspection of the traditional "Ita" Amusement Park, located in the parking lot of the Basilica Sanctuary of Nazaré, on the morning of this Friday (26). The inspection aims to assess the safety conditions of the rides, a necessary step for the release of operations.
The Amusement Park, with all structures ready, offers 17 rides this year: 10 for adults and 7 for children. Among the biggest attractions is the 32-meter tall Ferris wheel, along with popular rides that are back: the roller coaster, the "Free Style", the "Amor Express", among others.
The Fire Department's inspection is part of the corporation's routine and aims to provide greater safety for the population of Belém, as well as for the thousands of visitors. The technical work of the firefighters focused on the structure, emergency exits, extinguishers, and electrical systems, with the goal of ensuring the safety of those who will use the rides, explained Captain BM Ronaldo Feio from the General Department of Firefighting Services.

"We checked the structure, maintenance, and electrical systems, seeking to ensure that everything complies with technical standards. We also considered the height and age of the children, so they can use the rides with total safety. This is a coordinated action that takes place throughout the operation of the Park," he emphasized.
The importance of this measure lies in the large flow of people that the Arraial de Nazaré and the Park receive. According to the Nazaré Festival Directorate (DFN), it is estimated that more than 50,000 people circulate on a single day of the procession, and considering the flow throughout the day, this number exceeds 100,000 people.
For the director of the Arraial and Fundraising, Max Andrade, the inspection carried out by the Fire Department is crucial, as it raises the level of safety at the Arraial de Nazaré.
"Our priority is to ensure the safety of everyone who attends the Arraial, both in the area of the Ita company and the park, as well as in the area where the typical food and religious articles stalls are concentrated, located near the access area. This safety is important not only for the users of the rides but also for the exhibitors who offer food and products," he stated.

Some items observed by the CBM were reported to the Park administration. The corporation is set to return this Saturday (27) so that, if the release is granted, the Park can start its activities on the same day. Regarding the Arraial de Nazaré, the setup of the stalls is still ongoing. Thus, the CBM inspection will be scheduled later.
The Nazaré Festival Directorate expects the full opening of the Arraial by September 30 and will continue its programming until November 27, with the deployment of state and municipal security agents who will be present to ensure the tranquility of the population.
