State Department of Finance (Sefa) seizes two wheel loaders
Equipment worth R$ 686 thousand left Cuiabá heading to Belém

At the Coordination of Goods in Transit Control of Itinga, from the State Department of Finance (Sefa) in Dom Eliseu, northeastern Pará, two wheel loader machines were seized, valued at R$ 686,550.00. The seizure occurred on Wednesday (24), and the equipment left Cuiabá (MT) destined for Belém.
“During the inspection process, it was found that the differential ICMS rate (Difal) owed to the state of Pará was not collected, as the cargo was destined for a company that is not a contributor to the state tax,” informed the coordinator of the tax unit, Rafael Brasil. To collect the ICMS and the fine, a Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) was drawn up in the amount of R$ 177,994.45.
The Department of Finance has eight units for controlling goods in transit, which operate 24 hours a day, in a rotating system. They are responsible for monitoring the loads that enter and exit Pará, as well as for inspecting the goods and the tax documents.
