The second day of the governor's commitments also included high-level discussions on the carbon market, in meetings with representatives from Mercuria and Emergent, coordinator of the LEAF Coalition, as well as a meeting on bioeconomy with the Amazon Sociobioeconomy Business Association (Assobio). The dialogues reinforced Pará's prominence in topics where the state is a reference, especially in advancing bioeconomy and sustainability in the Amazon.

Debut of the 'TED House' at COP30
At the TED headquarters, Helder Barbalho met with Lindsay Levin, leader of the organization responsible for the well-known TED Talks. The meeting addressed Pará's opportunities in the bioeconomy sector, the project for the first Bioeconomy and Innovation Park in the Amazon, the potential of the Bioamazon Valley, and the unprecedented participation of TED Countdown in a UN climate conference.

With over 40 years of operation, TED has established itself as one of the leading global platforms for disseminating innovative ideas. TED Countdown, the organization's branch dedicated to climate, develops initiatives in energy transition, climate justice, and environmental preservation. For the first time, there will be a 'TED House' during the COP, with a special program focused on the Amazon.
"There will be various activities, lectures, and workshops on opportunities and solutions for the Amazon. This is the first time TED Countdown participates in a COP, and this choice is yet another achievement that reinforces the relevance of our Forest COP – the COP of the Amazon and Brazil," stated Helder Barbalho.

The governor also emphasized the importance of strategic alliances to give international visibility to Pará. "Partnerships like this allow us to showcase Pará and the Amazon from one of the most important communication platforms on the planet. It is a pleasure to be here at TED," he said, inviting everyone to be in Belém at COP30.
Lindsay Levin highlighted the importance of the partnership. "We are very excited and proud to be part of COP30 in Belém and to contribute to the beautiful future you are building for your state and for the world."
Invitation to the international community
Throughout the agenda, Helder reinforced the invitation to the international community to be in Belém during COP30 in November. "I want to take this opportunity to invite all of you to be with us in Belém in November, to discuss the environmental agenda, talk about solutions for reducing deforestation, and building a new model of sustainable development for the Amazon. International support is essential for us to deliver a better future for society, especially for indigenous peoples, traditional communities, and ancestral peoples, who have cared for the forest and the environment for centuries. Caring for the forest, the climate, and life on the planet is a commitment for all of us," he concluded.
