Castanhal Industrial Condominium formalizes Service Order for environmental studies
The project covering 143 hectares will have 119 industrial lots at subsidized prices and already has 82 interested companies in the northeastern state.

The Government of Pará, through the Pará Economic Development Company (Codec), has taken another decisive step towards the implementation of the Castanhal Industrial Condominium. This Tuesday (23), the Service Order was signed, authorizing the start of technical environmental studies aimed at preparing the Environmental Control Report and the Environmental Control Plan.
This stage is essential so that, after the completion of the studies and the issuance of licenses by the State Secretariat for the Environment and Sustainability (Semas), it will be possible to move forward with the contracting of works and the beginning of the implementation of the project.

The event was attended by Codec's technical director, Ruy Klautau de Mendonça, the manager of Development and New Business, Mayara Pinheiro, the manager of Environment and Sustainability, Amanda Karolina Santos, as well as representatives from the company Hidrosam, responsible for the preparation of the environmental studies.
With a total area of 143 hectares, the condominium will be implemented on PA-136, 4.5 km from BR-316, on the stretch that connects Castanhal to Inhangapi. In the first phase, 119 industrial lots at subsidized prices are planned, aimed at attracting small, medium, and large companies. The planned infrastructure includes paved roads, bike paths, entrance gates, drainage systems, landscaping, and high and low voltage electrical networks, providing competitive conditions for the establishment of new businesses.

The project is already generating great interest from the productive sector: 82 companies have expressed their intention to settle in the area, attracted by the strategic location, the incentives offered, and the potential to transform Castanhal into a reference industrial hub in northeastern Pará.
According to Codec's technical director, Ruy Klautau, the condominium represents much more than a physical space: “We are talking about a structuring project that will diversify the economy, stimulate innovation, and consolidate Castanhal as a regional hub of opportunities. It is an initiative that will directly impact job creation, strengthen local production chains, and attract investments for the entire State,” he stated.

In the assessment of Codec's manager of Development and New Business, Mayara Pinheiro, the project goes beyond the economic dimension and will have social impacts for the region: “The Industrial Condominium will generate jobs, income, and development, but it will also bring quality of life. We are preparing Castanhal to establish itself as a reference in innovation, attracting companies that engage with sustainability and strengthen local vocations. It is a milestone for the municipality and for the entire Guamá River Integration Region,” she highlighted.
The president of Codec, Lutfala Bitar, emphasized that the condominium embodies the strategic vision of the Government of Pará for industrial development: “This project symbolizes a new phase of the State's industrial policy. The Castanhal Industrial Condominium is more than just infrastructure: it represents real job opportunities for the population, conditions for local companies to grow, attraction of new investments, and strengthening of production chains. We are talking about a project that decentralizes the economy, stimulates the interiorization of development, and places Castanhal on the map of national and international competitiveness,” he emphasized.
The Castanhal Industrial Condominium is part of the Government of Pará's industrial policy to expand productive areas and strengthen new regional hubs, aiming to decentralize economic activity and enhance local vocations. With the advancement of environmental licensing, the expectation is that the works will be contracted this year, consolidating yet another milestone in the economic and social development of the State.
