Sefa Inspectors Seize Cattle Transported Without Invoice in Cachoeira do Piriá
Two trucks were transporting 130 heads of cattle, but the cargo was seized due to irregularities. In Óbidos, 25 cell phones were seized.

State tax inspectors seized, on Saturday, the 20th, 130 heads of cattle valued at R$ 494,000.00, at the Coordination of Control of Goods in Transit of the State Department of Finance (Sefa) of Gurupi, in Cachoeira do Piriá, northeastern Pará, on the border of Pará with Maranhão.
“Two cattle trucks that left the city of Angical-BA, destined for the city of Moju-PA, presented an invoice for the transfer from an individual to another individual for 130 heads of cattle. One of the invoices indicated the transport of 65 male bovines aged 0 to 12 months, and the other indicated male bovines aged 13 to 24 months. However, upon physical verification, with the support of Adepará personnel, it was observed that all the animals had evident characteristics of being older than 24 months, confirming the inspectors' suspicions that the information was incorrect,” said coordinator Gustavo Bozola.
The transfer invoice was invalidated, as there was a requirement for the state registration of the rural producer. The cargo was retained, and two Terms of Seizure and Deposit (TADs) were issued totaling R$ 168,948.00, referring to the tax and fine. The cattle were handed over to Adepará.

Cell Phones - During a tax inspection operation carried out on the morning of September 20, in the port area of Óbidos, the team of state tax inspectors from the Coordination of Control of Goods in Transit of Tapajós, in conjunction with the Military Police, seized 25 new cell phones and various components for cell phones from Manaus-AM, valued at R$ 48,008.10.
“The goods were being imported into the state of Pará without the proper tax payment. On the same day, a vehicle was stopped that was traveling between the cities of Oriximiná and Óbidos, transporting auto parts in a situation of tax irregularity. In both cases, the goods originated from Manaus-AM destined for Santarém-PA,” reported the unit coordinator, Roberto Mota. Two Terms of Seizure and Deposit (TADs) were issued, totaling R$ 19,299.55.
