Show celebrates the life and journey of Professor Glória Caputo at Theatro da Paz
Born in Marajó, the piano teacher turns 80 this Friday (19). A life dedicated to the musical education of generations of people from Pará.

The Symphony Orchestra of Theatro da Paz, along with Duo Azulay, formed by siblings Adriana and Humberto Azulay, and a special participation from the children's choir Vale Música, performed the show "OSTP and Duo Azulay: tribute to Glória Caputo" on the night of this Thursday, 18, to celebrate the life and journey of Professor Glória Caputo, the idealizer and first superintendent of the Carlos Gomes Foundation.

The Secretary of Culture of Pará, Ursula Vidal, highlighted the importance and influence of Glória Caputo in music education in the State. "Professor Glória teaches us to create public policies that value talents, form audiences, and develop skills in the Amazon territory, which is extremely musical."

"We as people from Pará, as Amazonians, Brazilians must honor the history of Glória Caputo and thank her for this life dedicated to teaching music and ensure that this immense legacy serves as a guide for cultural policies in Pará, in the Amazon, and in Brazil."
The pieces chosen for the concert repertoire also paid tribute to Glória. Each one has a different connection with the professor. The piece 'Carnival of the Animals' by Camille Saint-Saëns (1835-1921) was performed by the Azulay duo, in which siblings Adriana and Humberto Azulay were students of the professor. The work 'Traveler of Amazonian Legends (Prologue, Dance of the Warriors, and Final Scene)' by Sergei was a commission from Glória to the author. Symphony No. 5, op.64, by Tchaikovsky marked the learning and growth of the Young Orchestra Vale Música, founded by the musician.
For Glória Caputo, the tribute extends to all the people who came before and those who are part of her journey. "It was a huge surprise, it was beautiful and emotional, it brought back past images of my family, of my life. To relive is to live and to remember that no one does anything alone, I think of how many people helped me. The most important thing is the end we propose."

The Children's Choir Vale Música added a special touch to the tribute by singing the song "Brincar de Viver" and invited former students of Professor Glória who were in the audience to sing along.

Librarian Valéria Ferreira always attends the shows at Theatro da Paz and was moved by the presentation. "It is wonderful to have this opportunity to come to the theater and attend such an event." She also mentioned that the tribute surprised her and allowed her to learn more about Caputo. "An opportunity to know more about the history of Professor Glória, which I only heard about through musician friends."

Storyteller Andreza Melo, from Roraima, was making her debut at the concerts of the Symphony Orchestra of Theatro da Paz, and did not hide her enchantment. "I am enjoying it a lot, it is the first time I have the opportunity to come to Theatro to watch the Orchestra, it is very interesting, I was moved."
