Workshop Addresses Artificial Intelligence in Social Security Processes at Igepps
Employees receive training to use AI tools in daily tasks, aiming to enhance speed and efficiency in analyzing documents of state social security beneficiaries
Employees and collaborators of the Institute of Social Security Management and Protection of the State (Igepps), based in Belém, participated in a training workshop for the use of Artificial Intelligence tools to optimize their work routines. The training "Productivity with Microsoft Copilot in Practice" provided participants with knowledge about AI, so they can improve the structuring of commands, aiming to extract more potential and accuracy from the tool. It also served to encourage those who do not yet use this technological resource, which is important for increasing productivity.

"The teams engaged in the challenge of creating an agent capable of optimizing some manual document analysis process or even a process itself. And everyone presented very cool work. I am already looking forward to the next classes and the next steps we will take to ensure that more people within Igepps learn to use generative Artificial Intelligence in an assertive way,” explained Professor André Coelho, a specialist in Generative AI and a master's degree holder in Computing, with over 17 years of experience in the software sector, who taught the workshop.
Resolution - The Innovation and Digital Transformation Committee of Igepps was responsible for organizing the event. “With the knowledge acquired, employees will be able to optimize routine tasks and even explore more the potential of Artificial Intelligence, starting from understanding problems and creating mechanisms to solve them, in a simple and direct way,” highlighted Marcella Takeshita, president of the Innovation Committee, who believes that “the Committee also has this role of stimulating the capacity of employees, to put creativity into practice and see the process and work relationships in a different way.”

Participants approved Igepps' initiative to provide knowledge of Microsoft Copilot resources in a practical way, which will simplify repetitive tasks and improve the preparation of reports and the quality of decision-making in the public sector.
"I really liked the clarity in the explanation and the practical examples, which showed how to apply the technology in our reality. I leave motivated and confident to explore new possibilities with Copilot,” emphasized collaborator Suzane Lopes.
The coordinator of the Investment Nucleus of Igepps, Henrique Mascarenhas, approved the initiative, which he defines as a way to expand knowledge about new tools, especially Artificial Intelligence, support for text preparation, summarizing large content, and web research more efficiently.
“All these functionalities that were passed on to us will be very important for us to improve the efficiency of our work and deliver more services to the population and our insured,” emphasized Henrique Mascarenhas.
"What caught my attention the most was how we can manipulate this tool. I intend to apply it in my daily life, both in reports and training at work, as well as in activities in my community. The content was excellent, and the professor was extremely friendly and intelligent. I feel privileged to have participated, and I leave with a desire to learn even more,” said collaborator Josélia Gatinho, a member of the Igepps Customer Service team.

Quality - The event is part of the initiatives to reinforce the Institute's commitment to applying technology and innovation to enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality of services provided.
“Igepps' policy is to keep up with the modernization of the State's administrative machinery, so that the introduction of new technological resources can complement other initiatives, such as this training of employees, aiming at increasing productivity, efficiency, and quality of services provided to the beneficiaries of our social security,” emphasized the president of the Institute, Washington Albuquerque.
