Public visitation for the 2024 edition of the 'Olhar do Servidor' contest, which this year aims to highlight the natural resources of the Amazon.

The public voting for the photography contest "Olhar de Servidor", promoted by the Government of Pará, through the State Secretariat of Planning and Administration (Seplad), in partnership with the State School of Public Governance of Pará (EGPA), starts today (16) at 10 a.m. The 2025 edition has the theme "COP30, a new look at the Amazon", aligned with the 30th United Nations Conference on Climate Change, which will be held in Belém.

The contest aims to encourage public servants to capture, through photography, their perceptions of Pará and the Amazon, highlighting the sociocultural and environmental diversity of the region. The images can be interpreted literally or subjectively, as long as they express the essence of the chosen sub-theme.

Public voting for the 'Olhar de Servidor' begins this Tuesday (16), promoted by the Government of Pará, through Seplad and EGPA.

"This stage of the contest is important; it is time to choose which photos showcase the richness, diversity, and importance of our Pará. The submitted images translate not only individual perspectives but also a collective feeling of belonging and commitment to the preservation of the Amazon. So, just like in previous editions, we count on the participation of the population in the voting, valuing the talent of the public servants and strengthening the message we want to convey to the world: the Amazon needs to be cared for, respected, and celebrated," commented Iris Negrão, Deputy Secretary of People Management at Seplad.

To participate in the public voting, interested parties must access the official contest website until September 30 and vote for the finalist photos in the categories "This river is my street", "Amazon", "I am from the North", and "Flying to Pará".

The names of the winners will be announced on October 6, on the Seplad website, and the contest results will also be published in the State Official Gazette. Subsequently, the top 5 in each category will receive cash prizes and certificates of recognition, as well as the opportunity to exhibit their work at an official government event.

The voting will be open to the public, and all citizens can participate, helping to choose the photos that best represent the public servant's perspective on the importance of environmental preservation and sustainability, aligning with the global debates that will gain prominence with the COP30 being held in Belém.
