The Amazônia Jazz Band and the Orquestra Sinfônica do Theatro da Paz took the stage of the centennial performance house in Belém with the show "Symphonic Jazz," under the direction of conductor Laura Mathias Gentile and featuring soloists Atalla Ayan and Márcio Carvalho, on Saturday night (13).

Concerts with the two artistic bodies of Theatro Paz combine classical and popular music. For Laura Mathias Gentile, it was an honor to conduct. "I am very happy to have participated in this unique moment. We had a very special connection, me with the singers, and they with the Orchestra. I was very moved, it was wonderful," said the conductor.

Secretary Ursula Vidal: State values local talents

The Secretary of State for Culture, Ursula Vidal, highlighted the importance of public policy for audience development and the welcoming of the population. "We need to repeat this experience of symphonic jazz concerts more and more, because our audience responds very well. It is a demonstration of the state government's commitment to our public policy for audience development and valuing our talents, which receives a lot of affection from our audience, always with a full house," added the head of Secult.

"I am very happy to be returning to Belém after almost two years. It is a pleasure and an honor to sing here. If I could, I would sing every month. I find a theater getting better and better in every way," emphasized Atalla Ayan.
