With a medal, the Pará delegation concludes the first block of competitions at the Youth Games
In Brasília, Pará continues its participation in the Games with 61 athletes from the sports of wrestling, basketball, futsal, and beach volleyball

The first block of the Pará delegation concluded its participation in the Caixa Youth Games 2025 on Saturday (13), held in Brasília (DF). With the support of the Government of Pará, through the State Secretariat of Sports and Leisure (Seel), the group included 52 athletes in the sports of athletics, cycling, artistic gymnastics, swimming, and table tennis. The highlight was the bronze medal won by cyclist Elisa Carine, 15 years old, in the women's sprint event. With this result, Pará finished the first phase of the competition in 19th place in the overall medal table.

Promoted by the Brazilian Olympic Committee (COB), the Youth Games bring together athletes from all over the country in one of the main multi-sport competitions.
Among the individual highlights, cyclist Ryan Christian emphasized the importance of representing Pará. "First of all, I would like to thank everyone who helped me get here. It is a great honor to represent the State of Pará. It has been an incredible participation. I am doing the events we love in a great competition," said Ryan.

In artistic gymnastics, athlete Michel Campos also positively evaluated his debut. "My first participation is quite different from other competitions I have competed in. I really enjoyed the experience. Now, I need to prepare for next year. I can only thank the Government of Pará for being here at the Games," he added.
Inspiration - The State Secretary of Sports and Leisure, Cássio Andrade, highlighted the importance of participation in the national competition for strengthening sports in Pará. "We concluded the first block of the Youth Games with great pride, as we saw our youth representing Pará with dedication and determination. Elisa's medal was a milestone, but every athlete who competed is already a winner for getting this far. These Games are essential for revealing talents, strengthening grassroots sports, and inspiring our youth. The state government will continue to encourage and support sports development because we believe that sports transform lives," assured the head of Seel.

While the first group returned to Belém on Saturday, the second block of the delegation departed on Friday (12) for Brasília. There are 61 athletes from the sports of wrestling, basketball, futsal, and beach volleyball.
The third and final group will travel on the 18th (Thursday) for competitions in badminton, rhythmic gymnastics, judo, taekwondo, handball, and volleyball. The Youth Games continue until September 25, bringing together thousands of athletes aged 14 to 17.
