The Public Transport Regulation and Control Agency (Artran) informs that the Frequent User Discount (DUF) is now in effect for drivers of cars, trucks, and vans using TAG as a payment method at the four toll plazas of the Alça Viária listed below:

• Plaza 01: PA-150, km 52.6 (between Nova Ipixuna and Jacundá)
• Plaza 02: PA-150, km 112.8 (between Jacundá and Goianésia do Pará)
• Plaza 07: PA-252, km 31.9 (between Tailândia and Abaetetuba)
• Plaza 08: Alça Viária, km 22.0 (between Barcarena and Belém)

The General Director of Artran, Luciano Dias, explains that the discount provides faster trips and progressive savings for drivers. "The discount ranges from 5% to 50%, depending on the number of passages made in the same direction within 30 days, and is applied automatically through the electronic TAGs linked to the vehicle's license plate," concludes the head of the Agency.

The toll at Alça Viária integrates a new model of highway concession, with resources aimed at improving infrastructure

The benefit is valid from the second passage in the same direction, is applied automatically via TAG, and the TAG must be linked to the vehicle's license plate for the discount to be validated. In practice, the initial toll rate is R$ 12.00, but on the second passage, the driver pays R$ 11.40, which represents a 5% discount. With increased frequency, the amount gradually decreases until reaching the maximum discount of 50% from the 30th passage, when the toll is R$ 6.00.

History - The toll collection at Alça Viária began on August 15, as part of the highway concession model, which ensures resources for maintenance, safety, and infrastructure improvements. Since then, electronic payment via TAG has been adopted to speed up traffic and reduce queues, also allowing the creation of benefit programs, such as DUF, which rewards the most frequent drivers.
