The preparation for students taking the National High School Exam (Enem) 2025 is being intensified in Pará. Review classes and preparatory courses are among the main strategies of the State Government in the final stretch for the exams, which, this year, will exceptionally take place on November 30 and December 7, in the cities of Belém, Ananindeua, and Marituba, due to the 30th United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP30), and on November 9 and 16 in other cities in Pará.

Next Friday (12) and Saturday (13), the State Department of Education (Seduc) will hold review classes in the municipalities of Belém, Curralinho, Soure, Igarapé-Açu, and Santa Izabel. All areas of knowledge covered in the exams will be addressed: Languages, Human Sciences, Natural Sciences, and Mathematics. The classes are aimed at students from the state network but will be open to the general public.

“The review classes are a special moment of preparation and motivation for our students. They represent the commitment of the Government of Pará to provide the best conditions for students to achieve their dreams and access higher education. This collective effort has already brought important results in Enem 2024, and we want to advance even further,” says the head of Seduc, Ricardo Sefer.

In Enem 2024, Pará's state education stood out by achieving the best performance in the North region in the exam's essay. With 295 scores above 950 points, Pará ranked among the five best states in the country in the test, results released by the National Institute for Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (Inep), of the Ministry of Education (MEC).

ITINERANT - The 'Enem Pará Itinerante' program, from Seduc, is another initiative that seeks to democratize access to preparation and improve students' performance in the exams. “The review classes of Enem Pará work on the most relevant skills for the Enem. In addition, they teach item resolution strategies for better time management and anxiety control,” points out Professor Márcio Lisboa, coordinator of the program.

UEPA - In August, the Alternative Course of the State University of Pará (Uepa) launched the Alternative Intensive Course, a preparatory program focused on Enem 2025, with reviews of essential content and problem-solving, aimed at candidates who have already completed high school or are in the 3rd year in public and private schools, in this case, only with full scholarships. There will be three months of classes.

“Students who have been studying since the beginning of the year, preparing for the Enem, have the opportunity to deepen and strengthen their knowledge in the preparatory course, whether through reviews or activities and exercises that simulate the experience they will have on exam day. This possibility adds a lot for the students,” comments Nágila Aood, coordinator of Uepa's preparatory course.

Student of the preparatory course, Leilanda Beltrão, 18 years old, resident of the Barreiro neighborhood in Belém, praised the initiative. “The intensive course is already helping me a lot to make my summaries, understand the subjects better, and the tips for the Enem. These weekend classes are amazing. I intend to pursue a degree in Language Teaching, and this preparatory course for low-income individuals is essential because many, like me, cannot afford a private preparatory course. This attention makes a difference in our preparation,” she celebrates.

SECTET - On September 27 and 28, from 8 am to 12 pm, students from technical schools in the Metropolitan Region of Belém (RMB) will participate in the second review class of Enem Pará 2.0, in a hybrid format, promoted by the Secretary of Science, Technology, and Higher, Professional, and Technological Education (Sectet), with classes in Mathematics and Physics, held in the auditorium of the Institute of Social Security and Protection of the State of Pará (IGEPPS). More than 200 students are expected for the in-person event, and the activities will also be broadcast live on Sectet's YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@SECTETPA).

“The program was strategically designed to offer maximum support at a decisive moment. With in-person and virtual reviews, we expand access and strengthen preparation, increasing our students' chances of achieving good results in the Enem,” emphasizes Victor Dias, head of Sectet.

Lucas Muniz, computer science student at EETEPA Vilhena Alves, in a class of Enem Pará Hybrid, from Sectet

Computer science student Lucas Muniz from EETEPA Vilhena Alves will take the Enem for the first time. “I really liked the classes I attended in last month's review class; I was surprised by the level of organization and the teacher's didactics. It was a very positive experience because the content was explained clearly and understandably. Now, I am looking forward to the Mathematics and Physics classes, which are subjects that require a lot of attention, and these classes will certainly help me a lot in my preparation,” he states.

The in-person activities will occur in three stages. The first was on August 30 and 31, focusing on biology and chemistry. The second will be in September, and the final stage will take place on October 25 and 26, with classes focused on Portuguese and essay writing.
