From January to August of this year, the "Balcão Cidadão" project, from the ParáPaz Foundation, surpassed the mark of 35,000 services throughout the State. Created to facilitate access to duplicate documents, the initiative has already helped thousands of residents of Pará to obtain again records of CPF, NIS, Elderly ID, Youth ID, voter registration, SUS card, criminal records, Digital Work Card, in addition to providing support in the preparation and printing of resumes.

The most sought-after service is access to the Gov.br portal, with over ten thousand services for registration or password recovery, followed by the issuance of the duplicate CPF and SUS card.

In 2024 alone, there were about 40,000 services. In 2025, the UsiPaz Cabanagem, in Belém, has already recorded almost nine thousand. Next are the units of Icuí-Guajará, in Ananindeua, with almost six thousand; and the UsiPaz "Pe. Bruno Sechi", located in the Bengui neighborhood, in Belém, with almost five thousand services.

“The elderly card, for example, guarantees free or discounted fares, but those who have difficulty with the internet end up not being able to access it. That’s exactly why the project exists, to facilitate,” explains Guilherme Silva, coordinator of ParáPaz at the UsiPaz of Icuí-Guajará.

Opportunity - The couple Elsimar, 64, and Francisco da Penha, 75, are an example of how the service makes a difference. They sought the UsiPaz to issue the Elderly ID. “We want to visit family who live outside the State and I can’t afford the fare with my salary, so we came here for the document,” said Mr. Francisco, already with the benefit in hand.

Another example is Odete Saldanha do Nascimento, 50, who was at the UsiPaz Cabanagem to update her documents after the divorce. She issued the duplicate CPF and also the Digital Work Card. “The service was great, I loved it. I came thinking only about the CPF and didn’t even expect to leave with the work card, but I managed to get that too,” she celebrated.

For the president of the ParáPaz Foundation, Alberto Teixeira, the service goes beyond the issuance of documents. “Many people have difficulty accessing the portals and end up giving up. Here, our staff guide and accompany each step, ensuring that everyone leaves with the document in hand and their doubts clarified,” he emphasized.

Where to find the service - Currently, it operates from Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, in 15 of the 17 Usinas da Paz in the State and in the social units of the ParáPaz Foundation, including the headquarters in Belém and the unit in Mocajuba, in Northeast Pará. To be served, it is necessary to present an identification document or, in case of total loss, a police report. The service also reaches other municipalities with itinerant citizenship actions.

The 17 Usinas da Paz are located in Belém (Jurunas/Condor, Guamá, Terra Firme, Bengui, and Cabanagem) and in the municipalities of Ananindeua, Marituba, Benevides, Castanhal, Capanema, Bragança, Abaetetuba, Tucuruí, Marabá, Parauapebas, Canaã dos Carajás, and Moju.
