The Government of Pará delivered more than 700 new prescription glasses to residents of the Icuí-Guajará neighborhood in Ananindeua, Metropolitan Region of Belém, on this Monday (8). The delivery benefited people who underwent consultations and eye exams during the edition of the “Por Todas Elas” project held on June 12 at the Usina da Paz in the neighborhood.

The initiative provides more health, inclusion, and quality of life to the families served, ensuring free access to a fundamental item for the routine of studies, work, and well-being.

Governor Helder Barbalho participated in the delivery and emphasized the State's commitment to being present in the communities, taking care of those who need it most.

“Today is a special day, where we return to Ananindeua to deliver the glasses that people chose when consulted in the 'Por Todas Elas' program. People who had their needs diagnosed, their correct prescription, and, at no cost, the State Government made the delivery. This action has allowed us to be in a neighborhood, in a community, taking care of people, looking after those who need it most,” he emphasized.

The Deputy Governor and idealizer of the project, Hana Ghassan, also highlighted the relevance of the initiative for the population.

“The ‘Por Todas Elas’ is a program that was born to care for women, but it reaches the whole family. When we guarantee health services, citizenship, and quality of life, we are strengthening mothers, children, and everyone who is part of the community. It is a public policy that brings dignity into homes,” she stated.

Among the beneficiaries, Icuí-Guajará resident Francileia Pereira, 44, celebrated the achievement. “I couldn’t afford to buy new glasses, and today I’m taking mine home for free. It’s a huge relief because it improves my vision and the quality of my life,” she said.

Young student Maria Moura, 18, also highlighted the importance of the delivery. “Receiving these glasses is an opportunity to have more quality of life and accessibility. For someone who studies, like me, it makes all the difference to be able to see better and continue learning more easily,” she shared.

Created in 2024, the state program “Por Todas Elas” has already provided over 160,000 services throughout Pará, offering more than 30 types of free services in the areas of health, citizenship, and leisure. The project primarily focuses on ensuring rights for Pará women but also benefits their families, strengthening women's participation as protagonists in building a fairer and more equal society. In 2025, the program has also ensured the delivery of around 30,000 new prescription glasses to residents of various municipalities in Pará.
