Paysandu Sport Club and Volta Redonda-RJ faced off in the Series B, and the alviceleste team lost 2 to 1

The Olympic Stadium of Pará – Journalist Edgar Proença, the Mangueirão, was the stage this Friday (5) for the match between Paysandu Sport Club and Volta Redonda-RJ, valid for the 25th round of the Brazilian Series B Championship. The alviceleste team took the lead with a goal from Thalisson but ended up losing to the Cariocas, who scored with Gabriel Barbosa and Raí, closing the score at 2 to 1.

The presence of entire families in the stands caught attention. Since its reopening in 2023, after reconstruction work by the Government of Pará, the New Mangueirão has established itself as one of the main venues for major sports and cultural events in the North of the country. The stadium features modern infrastructure, accessibility, cutting-edge technology, and security systems that ensure comfort and tranquility for the public, strengthening Belém's image as a city prepared to host large-scale events.

Journalist Priscila Amaral, her husband Antônio Reymão, and their son Anthony enjoyed the match, the comfort, and the safety of the stadium

In the match, journalist Priscilla Amaral and her husband, freelancer Antônio Reymão, took their son Anthony Reymão to the stadium for the first time and highlighted the positive experience.

“This is the first time he witnesses a match inside the stadium. The Mangueirão is beautiful, modern, and safe. This gives us peace of mind to bring our son and enjoy a great show,” said the father. Priscilla emphasized the family aspect of the moment: “This time I came as a fan, alongside my family, and I felt very safe. Seeing other families with children shows that the stadium is ready to welcome the Pará public with all care and comfort.”

"It was a huge joy to bring my son and my wife, the three of us together in the stadium, experiencing this moment as a family. When I was a child, since I was five years old, my family always took me to the Mangueirão. This environment is part of my life, it is a place I identify with and love. Today, being able to provide this same experience to my son, in a modern and safe space, is a tremendous achievement and happiness,” said Antônio.

MOMENT OF EMOTION

The emotion was even greater for Anthony, who entered the field alongside the Paysandu players. “It was a wonderful surprise. We didn't expect it, and it was exciting to see him live this moment,” said Priscilla.

The Secretary of Sports and Leisure of Pará, Cássio Andrade, highlighted the role of the New Mangueirão in valuing sports and culture in the state.

“The Mangueirão is a heritage of the people of Pará. More than a stage for great games and shows, it is a space for coexistence, leisure, and safety for families. This is the commitment of the State Government: to offer a modern, inclusive arena that projects Pará on the national and international stage,” he stated.
