The Vice Governor of Pará, Hana Ghassan, participated this Friday (5) in the 2025 edition of Empreende Brazil, held for the first time in the North region, in Belém. The event, considered the largest entrepreneurship congress in Latin America, brought together experts, entrepreneurs, and personalities to discuss topics such as innovation, management, marketing, and human development.

Representing the Government of Pará, Hana was a speaker on the panel "COP30: Challenges and Legacy," alongside lawyer Giussepp Mendes. In her speech, she highlighted the strategic role of the 30th United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP30), which will be held in November 2025 in the capital of Pará, and the positive impacts that the event has already been promoting in the State, especially for entrepreneurs.

Training, infrastructure, and sustainability

During her participation, the Vice Governor pointed out the actions of the State Government aimed at preparing Belém for COP30, with direct reflections on the productive sector and society.

“COP30 is bringing visibility to Pará. Besides the great legacy that I love to talk about. Today, Pará is the only state in the federation that has environmental education as a subject in schools. It invests in the present and the future of the next generations. I also wanted to talk about something very important for entrepreneurs, which is workforce training. Our government has the largest training program. There are courses in English, public speaking, waitstaff, and hospitality. We are also improving the infrastructure of our capital with important works. For a city that is becoming more and more beautiful,” said Hana Ghassan, who also coordinates the State COP30 Committee.

Belém as a showcase for new entrepreneurship

The choice of Belém as the host city for Empreende Brazil 2025 was also celebrated by the Vice Governor as a reflection of the ongoing transformation in the State.

“We are happy to host Empreende Brazil for the first time in the North region and, not by chance, in Belém do Pará. It came to the right place and to stay. We are investing to make Belém the new capital of entrepreneurship in Brazil. I invite everyone to venture into entrepreneurship. Let’s generate jobs and income. Because Pará is transforming and it is to improve the future of our population more and more,” she emphasized.
