Involved in the death of a police officer arrested by the Civil Police in Ananindeua
The crime occurred last July, when the victim and his family were having breakfast and two criminals approached announcing a robbery
On the morning of this Thursday, 04, the Civil Police of Pará executed a preventive arrest warrant and a search and seizure warrant against a man suspected of involvement in the robbery that victimized military police officer Jocielder Lima de Souza. The police action took place through the Homicide Division of Public Agents (DHAP), a unit linked to the Homicide Division (DH) and the Specialized Police Directorate (DPE).
“The suspect was located in the municipality of Ananindeua and did not resist arrest, at which point the arrest warrant was executed. At the suspect's residence, located in the Invasão da Japonesa, in Marituba, we executed the search and seizure warrant to locate objects, documents, or any elements related to the ongoing criminal investigation,” explained delegate Maurício Pires, head of the DH.
Understand the case - The crime occurred on the Alça Viária Highway, in Acará, in the early morning of July 23 of this year, in a small establishment where the police officer and his family were having breakfast. According to witnesses, two criminals approached, one armed with a revolver, and announced the robbery. The police officer reacted and engaged in a struggle with one of the individuals, at which point multiple shots were fired, leading to the victim's death.
After the crime, the police officer's weapon was taken, and the duo ran towards a black car that was waiting for them about 100 meters from the scene.
“After intelligence work, we were able to identify that the person arrested today was the one driving the vehicle at the time of the crime. The car used in the criminal act was rented to the suspect's brother. Our work continues to identify and arrest all those involved in the robbery that victimized a public security agent,” detailed delegate Eugenie Beatriz, responsible for the investigation.
After the measures were executed, the detainee was taken to the Homicide Division of Public Agents for standard procedures and remains at the disposal of the Justice.
