Public Security reinforces actions for the September 7 Parade in Belém and informs road closure points
About 630 agents from state and municipal public security forces will reinforce ostensive actions, assist in road closures, and manage traffic around the parade
To ensure safety and public order during the civic-military parade that will be held in Belém next Sunday, September 7, in celebration of the 203rd anniversary of Brazil's Independence, about 630 agents from state and municipal public security forces will reinforce ostensive actions, assist in road closures, and manage traffic around the parade. According to the general security scheme, coordinated by the Brazilian Army, along with state and municipal forces, 32 points on roads near the location will be blocked for vehicle circulation, starting at 5 a.m. on Sunday (7), until 1 p.m.
In light of the movement for the event, both from all those parading and the audience watching, as well as other events occurring during the holiday in the capital, it is essential that the population pays attention to the guidance of security and traffic agents, so they can move around and ensure their transportation on September 7, emphasizes the head of the Secretariat of Public Security and Social Defense, Ualame Machado.
“We met in advance with the Armed Forces, which coordinate the overall security of the event, with the state security system agencies and municipal agencies, to ensure planning and maintain traffic flow on the roads near the Nazaré neighborhood, as well as security throughout the September 7 parade. Teams will be distributed both at the roadblocks and around the event, conducting patrols and guiding the public to ensure the mobility of people and vehicles, aiming to minimize disruptions for the population, so that everyone can enjoy the holiday programming in the capital with tranquility and social peace,” said Ualame Machado.
Ostensive policing - About 600 military police will reinforce the security actions of the Armed Forces and will act in preventive and ostensive actions on the roads and around the location. Throughout the period, four-wheeled vehicles, motorcycles, foot patrols, and mounted police will be deployed. The actions of the Military Police will begin with the reinforcement of policing in the surrounding area at 4 a.m. to maintain order and security from the early hours of the morning.
Police Units - The Civil Police will reinforce the staff for service at the Commerce Police Station and the Urban Section of São Brás, in case of occurrences, so that the population can receive expedited service at these units.
Real-time monitoring - The Secretariat of Public Security and Social Defense (Segup) will install the Integrated Mobile Command and Control Center (CICCM) at Rua da Paz with Av. Presidente Vargas, still on Saturday, the 6th. The center will be the base that will gather the focal points of the security forces, which will monitor the images from the cameras of the Integrated Operations Center (CIOp), installed around during the parade and provide support to the agents working throughout the route and on adjacent roads.
The Air Security Group (Graesp) will also be on standby to conduct aerial surveillance and monitoring during the programming, if necessary.
Traffic - To ensure order and oversight on the roads, teams from the State Department of Transit (Detran), Military Police (PMPA), and the Municipal Secretariat of Security, Public Order, and Mobility of Belém (Segbel) will block roads starting at 4 a.m., controlling traffic to promote fluidity, curb irregularities, and ensure safety.
