The Military Police of Pará (PMPA) began, on the morning of this Tuesday (2), the second edition of the Scientific Seminar "PMPA em Revista", at the auditorium of the General Command Headquarters (QCG) in Belém. This action reinforces the corporation's commitment to bringing academic production closer to operational routines, promoting greater efficiency and quality in the service provided to the people of Pará.

The opening ceremony was presided over by the Chief of the General Staff of PMPA, Colonel Ariel, and was attended by military authorities, education researchers, officers, and enlisted personnel of the corporation. In his speech, the colonel emphasized that the dissemination of knowledge is essential for institutional evolution.

“Our goal is that everything produced scientifically within the corporation does not remain restricted to a document or a classroom, but reaches the front line, to the police officer on the street. This knowledge, when well applied, improves the quality of our service, strengthens the institution, and brings more security to society, which is what we all seek,” emphasized Colonel Ariel.

The officer also reinforced that the General Staff's mission is to transform academic production into practical and accessible tools for operational units, directly contributing to the results of public safety.

Debates and scientific integration

The seminar's program began with the lecture "Mental Health and Psychosocial Work: 30 years of Psychology and Social Work in the Corporation," given by Lieutenant Colonel QCOPM Jesiane Calderaro Costa Vale. The theme opened space for reflection on the care for mental health in the police environment and the role of human sciences in institutional strengthening.

Throughout the day, other articles and research were presented by military personnel and scholars in the field, promoting an environment of dialogue, exchange of experiences, and appreciation of the scientific production developed in the context of public safety.

Institutional journal consolidates scientific space in PMPA

Launched in 2022, the publication "PMPA em Revista" has established itself as an intellectual milestone of the corporation. The journal brings together studies and analyses on public safety, prevention, social integration, and preservation of institutional memory. With each new edition, it expands its reach and importance both within and outside the corporation, promoting the dissemination of knowledge as a strategic tool for modern and humanized policing.

The seminar continues this Wednesday (3), starting at 8 am, at the auditorium of the PMPA General Command Headquarters, with new presentations and debates on topics relevant to police action.
