The driver attempted to flee the scene but was captured by security forces

A routine action by the State Traffic Department (Detran-PA) resulted in the recovery of a stolen vehicle on the morning of last Monday (2), in Castanhal, in northeastern Pará. The operation, carried out at km 7 of the PA-320 highway, had the support of the Military Police and aimed to reinforce road safety in the region.

During the inspection, Detran traffic agent Evanildo dos Santos Moraes, while conducting routine checks with the aid of a mobile radar and electronic ticket book, identified a vehicle with a theft/robbery restriction in the public security system. Upon noticing the presence of the inspection team, the driver attempted to flee the scene, entering an adjacent access road. However, the coordinated action of the teams allowed for the approach and recovery of the vehicle.
The recovered vehicle was sent to the police authorities for the necessary legal procedures. “This occurrence demonstrates the importance of continuous inspection actions in combating crime and ensuring safety for all citizens,” said Detran's inspection coordinator, Ivan Feitosa.
