The State Department of Education (Seduc), through the Regional Education Directorate (DRE) of the municipality of Cachoeira do Arari, in the Marajó archipelago, focused on ensuring improvements and strengthening mobilization actions for the implementation of the Basic Education Assessment System (Saeb) and the Basic Education Development Index (Ideb), held the 1st Conference on Best Practices during the month of August.

The initiative promoted various activities, such as pedagogical meetings, workshops for analysis and application of integrated simulations, bringing together school teams from the 14 teaching units under the Regional's jurisdiction, from the municipalities of Cachoeira do Arari, Salvaterra, Santa Cruz do Arari, and Soure.

The regional director, Arthur Tavares, emphasizes that the Conference consolidated educational mobilization in Marajó. "The 14 schools in our DRE presented what has been done to boost the indices of each one. It was a moment of participation and knowledge, whose main objective was to motivate our schools and students. This event is of great importance for Marajoara education," explained the manager.

The meeting provided the exchange of pedagogical experiences and school management that has contributed to strengthening the teaching and learning process, aiming for better results in school flow.

The Camará School, from the municipality of Cachoeira do Arari, presented the project "Prepara", with improved results aimed at raising proficiency in Portuguese Language and Mathematics, based on simulations and performance analysis of the students.

Meanwhile, the João Farias School, also located in Cachoeira do Arari, shared its experience with the "Simulation Focused on Saeb", while the Stella Maris School, from Soure, presented the project "Saeb Contract", directly raising students' awareness about the importance of assessment.

Similarly, the mobilization included the school community, such as the José Rodrigues Viana School, from Cachoeira do Arari, which presented the action "Family at School: Understanding External Assessments, Strengthening the Partnership between Management, Teachers, Students, and Families"; and the Edda de Sousa School, located in Soure, showcased the practice "Paths to Success, combining systematic simulations with socio-emotional support actions."

Finally, the Retiro Grande School, from Cachoeira do Arari, highlighted the project "Preparation for School Success with a Focus on Saeb", with an interdisciplinary approach.

The exchange of knowledge was well evaluated by teacher Beatriz Pedrosa Pena, from the Ademar N. de Vasconcelos School, in Salvaterra. "First, we identified the descriptors that we needed to improve and showed this to the students. Then, we created a task force with games, contests, and simulations, involving all teachers. It was a collective effort that brought results in learning and strengthened students' confidence," she said.

The Salomão Matos School, from Salvaterra, spoke about the "Integrated Simulation of Languages and Mathematics (SAILM)", the Gasparino Batista School, from Soure, presented the "AVALIAGASP", and the Delgado Leão School highlighted its practice of encouraging reading through the Reading Sheet.

All experiences showed how schools have transformed goals into consistent pedagogical practices, aligned with the needs of students in the region.
