Sefa seizes ten tons of frozen açaí in Cachoeira do Piriá
The goods, valued at over R$ 100,000, had an irregular invoice

At the Coordination of Goods in Transit Control of the State Department of Finance (Sefa) of Gurupi, located in the municipality of Cachoeira do Piriá, northeastern Pará, bordering Pará and Maranhão, state tax inspectors seized, this Saturday (30), ten tons of frozen açaí with an irregular invoice. The goods were valued at R$ 102,900.00.
“A vehicle coming from Dom Eliseu (PA), destined for Salvador (BA), was stopped by the inspection, and after the delivery of the tax documents, an analysis of the provided data was made and it was verified that the company declared to be a participant in the Simples Nacional, but it was not, that is, it attempted to forge a fiscal situation in order not to collect the state tax, ICMS, in advance,” said the coordinator of the tax unit, state tax inspector Gustavo Bozola.
The goods were retained and a Term of Seizure and Deposit (TAD) was issued, in the amount of R$ 22,226.40, referring to the ICMS and fine.
