Vice Governor participates in the opening of ExpoCanaã 2025
At the 10th Cavalcade, one of the largest agricultural events in southern and southeastern Pará, Hana Ghassan highlighted the economic potential of both regions
The Vice Governor of Pará, Hana Ghassan, participated on the morning of this Saturday (30) in the 10th Ruralist Cavalcade through the streets of Canaã dos Carajás, a municipality in southeastern Pará, which officially opened ExpoCanaã 2025. The agricultural exhibition takes place from August 30 to September 7, promoted by the Rural Producers Union of Canaã dos Carajás (Sicampo), in partnership with the Municipal City Hall, through the Secretariat of Rural Development and Production (Sempru). The parade of the groups celebrated the culture of the countryside and the productive vocation of southeastern Pará, reinforcing the business environment.

“The government is very happy to see the State becoming increasingly prosperous. Pará has the third highest credit expectation in the entire country, thanks to the growth of agribusiness, mining, and services. Therefore, this region is very important for the State of Pará, and this festival, which we are going to participate in today, is important for the culture of our State. We are here with a message of appreciation, of prestige to Canaã dos Carajás, to this region that is one of the pillars of the economy of Pará. I am here to celebrate this moment. To celebrate with this beautiful festival, participating in the cavalcade in Canaã dos Carajás. I am very happy to be here at this moment,” said Hana Ghassan.

Economy and culture - Considered one of the main agricultural fairs in southern and southeastern Pará, ExpoCanaã brings together animal exhibitions, professional rodeo, and a commercial showcase focused on agribusiness, in addition to lectures, training, and competitions, such as marching and barrel racing.
In 2024, the event received more than 230,000 visitors, generated over R$ 30 million in business, and distributed R$ 170,000 in prizes, numbers that highlight its role in promoting the local and regional economy.
The cavalcade, a traditional part of the program, brought together horsemen and horsewomen from Canaã dos Carajás and neighboring municipalities, in a meeting of generations that symbolizes the integration between countryside and city, and announces the beginning of the rural festival.
