Seduc strengthens students' preparation for the Saeb exam with simulated test
The Simulado Pará is part of the Saeb 2025 Movement – Coordinators Across Pará, which mobilizes Seduc teams to visit state network schools.
The State Department of Education (Seduc) held, this Thursday (28), the first Simulado Pará with students from the 2nd, 5th, and 9th grades of Elementary School and the 3rd year of High School, in all state schools. This action is part of the preparation for the implementation of the Basic Education Assessment System (Saeb), next October, throughout Brazil.
The Simulado aims to familiarize students with the format and level of demand of the assessments in the subjects of Portuguese Language and Mathematics, in addition to providing schools with a diagnosis of learning difficulties, guiding teachers and managers to strengthen pedagogical strategies.

Safety and confidence - The State Secretary of Education, Ricardo Sefer, emphasized that the initiative is part of a collective effort of the state public network. “This simulated test is a strategic moment for our students to gain safety and confidence during the official exam. Moreover, it allows schools to identify points that need to be reinforced in teaching. We want Pará to continue advancing in the quality of public education and consolidating the good results achieved in Ideb (Basic Education Development Index),” said the head of Seduc.
The Secretary of Basic Education of Seduc, Professor Júlio Meireles, highlighted the pedagogical role of the action. “The Saeb is an essential diagnostic tool. More than numbers, it shows us where we need to improve to ensure learning for all. The state simulated test is part of a mobilization that involves students, teachers, and managers, all united around raising the educational results of Pará,” said the professor.
Mobilization in schools - At the Nossa Senhora de Guadalupe State School, in Santarém, in western Pará, student Ana Beatriz Rego, from the 9th grade, spoke about the importance of the Simulado. “The test is very important for our personal and professional growth. It evaluates both us, students, and the school and the teachers. I had some difficulties in Mathematics, but we have textbooks and the support of teachers, who always help us and encourage us to improve,” she informed.

According to the director of the unit, Janaína Bandeira de Moraes, “the 'Nossa Senhora de Guadalupe' is a school in the outskirts of Santarém, with students genuinely from the public network, and even so we achieved first place in performance among the schools of the DRE of Santarém. This result fills us with pride and shows that we are on the right track. We are mobilized with teachers, students, and families to ensure that this progress is confirmed in Saeb 2025.”
At the São Raimundo Nonato State School, which achieved the best Ideb in the state public network last year, with an average of 7.0 in Elementary School and 5.6 in High School, 3rd year student Ana Clara Dias reinforced the importance of the Simulado. “It is a privilege to study at the School that achieved the best Ideb in Pará. This test was an important training, because the questions demand a lot from us, but everything is part of our curriculum. Our teachers are very dedicated, and we have all the necessary support of teaching materials,” she assured.

Coordination - The Simulado is part of the Saeb 2025 Movement – Coordinators Across Pará, which mobilizes technical teams from Seduc to visit state network schools, with formative meetings, active listening, and pedagogical guidance. The action strengthens teaching and management practices, aiming to ensure better results in this year's Saeb.
According to the acting Deputy Secretary of Basic Education, Cláudia Ferreira, the work has a direct impact on learning. “The Saeb 2025 Movement and the State Simulado are complementary actions that strengthen our schools. We are mobilizing managers, teachers, and students to expand pedagogical practices, ensure more effective monitoring, and consolidate strategies that elevate learning and Pará's results in Saeb,” she emphasized.
Pará is experiencing a historic moment in state public education. With 4.3 points in the last Ideb, the State jumped from 26th to 6th place in the national ranking, consolidating the advances achieved with public policies, investments, and appreciation of public education.
