Secom and TikTok train communicators in platform techniques and resources
Event in Belém presented digital tools, content creation strategies, and the use of artificial intelligence for journalists, influencers, and entrepreneurs

A training session promoted by the State Secretariat of Communication of Pará (Secom), in partnership with TikTok, brought together journalists, digital influencers, and entrepreneurs at the Teatro Gasômetro in Belém on Wednesday (27). At the meeting, representatives of the social network in Brazil presented the main features of the platform and explored techniques for producing digital content, with the backdrop of the capital's preparation for the 30th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30) in November.
The State Secretary of Communication, Vera Oliveira, highlighted the relevance of the initiative as part of the Pará Government's effort to strengthen public communication and enhance the qualification of professionals in the field. "Conducting this training is part of our mission in public communication. It is a very special moment," she stated. She took the opportunity to thank the partnership with the platform. "TikTok has been with us since Baku, in this partnership that has been successful. Know that we will have other great events promoted by the State Government," she added.

The TikTok government account manager, Leandro Albuquerque, opened the program by presenting platform resources, including the artificial intelligence tool Symphony, and emphasized the importance of training communicators to explore the potential of the digital environment in a healthy and responsible way. "It is very important to be here, first because we need to change the way content is created in Brazil, so that everyone understands the platform's potential to connect with people authentically, within each person's purpose, as we follow the interests of those on the other side," he stated.
He also highlighted the symbolism of the meeting taking place in Belém. "It is very cool to come here at this pre-COP moment, when we see the city moving and so much happening. This shows how much interesting content can be shared. Often, from the outside, we hear that nothing will happen, but upon arriving here, we are sure that it will work out," he added. For Leandro, the training was also an opportunity to encourage new forms of production. "It is a chance to show how we can create innovative and different content, using artificial intelligence in a healthy way, within what is allowed," he concluded.

Opportunities for youth and creators – The program also provided space for participants to share their expectations about using the platform. Student Téo Carvalho evaluated the training as an incentive to expand his digital presence and highlighted the relevance of the initiative for young content creators. "This event shows how TikTok can be used strategically to achieve results, both in personal and professional promotion. The training offers techniques that allow for greater reach, organizing a portfolio, and attracting job opportunities," he stated.
Entrepreneurship and influence – The meeting also included a roundtable discussion on digital entrepreneurship, led by Michel Porcino, a facilitator of TikTok programs. Content creators shared experiences on how they transformed the platform into a space for generating income and opportunities.

Craftswoman Paula Braghini from Rio Grande do Norte shared that she started posting on the platform as a way to promote and sell her crochet work and ended up gaining clients from different places, including outside Brazil. "I am very happy to represent women who live from handicrafts and to be able to promote my work. TikTok changed my life and the way I communicate. I was ashamed to appear, but the platform helped me connect with people. Today, my work reaches places I never imagined," she reported.
Paraense Maria Zontes, who gained millions of followers and clients by showcasing the personalized book covers she hand paints on the network, including a collection inspired by Harry Potter, highlighted the initial challenge of positioning herself as a creator outside the major centers. "When I started on TikTok, I was very afraid it wouldn't work out and that I wouldn't be able to reach a large audience because I am from Pará. We were used to seeing more creators from São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. Therefore, seeing an event like this happening in my state is very significant," she noted.

Advertising professional and influencer Dina Batista Carmona, who has been active on the internet for 15 years and uses sustainable fashion as a communication tool, reinforced the social impact of social networks. "I believe that we from Pará are experiencing this flood of opportunities and social networks are a megaphone for what we do. In my work, Mulheres Fortes do Norte, it is precisely this social transformation that we seek, where every voice matters. And today, with a cell phone, courage, and some correct techniques, you can do your work for the world," she emphasized.
