The Government of Pará, through the State Secretariat of Planning and Administration (Seplad), participates in the XIV Consad Congress of Public Management in Brasília, reaffirming its commitment to innovation and continuous improvement of public administration. The event runs until this Thursday (28), and receives the participation of planning secretariats and public administration technicians from all over Brazil.

With the theme "Public management for a new Brazil", this year's congress, organized by the National Council of State Secretaries of Administration (Consad), aims to promote dialogue among state governments, municipalities, the Union, specialists, academia, and civil society, seeking to discuss contemporary challenges of public management, such as the digitization of services, contracting models and partnerships, strengthening public leadership, and improving efficiency in the delivery of public policies.

For the Deputy Secretary of People Management of Seplad, Iris Negrão, the event serves as a network that connects managers committed to promoting the continuous improvement of public services in Brazil.

"The Consad Congress is a privileged space for this exchange of experiences. Here, we can share the advances that Pará has been achieving, but also learn from the practices of other States, strengthening the collective commitment to modernize public management in Brazil. It is from this dialogue that more innovative and effective solutions arise to better serve society. This year, I was able to present the work entitled 'The influence of the Electronic Administrative Process on the accountability of state public accounts – a case study at the State Court of Accounts and among public servants of Pará', which is a great source of pride for us, because it shows how digital transformation has directly impacted efficiency, transparency, and speed in public administration," explained the secretary.

Flavia Nunes, director of Logistics Management at Seplad, talks about the importance of exchanging experiences for the development of the State.

"Participating in Consad is very rewarding, not only as a director, representing the purchasing group, but also as a public servant, because it is an exchange of experiences, success cases, reports of what other States are doing, other secretariats. There are several groups, people from all over Brazil, so it is a network where we can work together, and this certainly energizes public service, because we can exchange experiences, there is also the academic moment, those who have articles and scientific papers can publish, so participating in Consad has been a great experience," says Flávia.

About 2,000 participants, including public managers, ministers, mayors, governors, and specialists will be present over three days of intense debates, practical workshops, and presentations of innovative experiences. The goal is to discuss the new directions of Brazilian public administration.

"This Congress, which brings together public administration, public servants, is of utmost importance, as it gives us the opportunity to exchange experiences, observe the presentation of success cases, learn about new technologies, what is being used, and, in general, the problems of public administration are the same. So, this serves to broaden the horizons of possible solutions that we can use in the State. This exchange of experience is fundamental for us to advance in solutions internally," highlights Fernando José Bentes, from the Information Technology Directorate of Seplad.
