The Military Police of Pará, through the Intermediate Intelligence Agency of CPR X, seized narcotics during the joint action with the 15th Military Police Battalion – Transamazônica Battalion, in Itaituba, southwestern Pará. The action took place on Saturday (23).

The operation was triggered after information was passed to the command of CPR X about a possible drug shipment traveling along the Barreiras Road. With the support of vehicles from CPR X and the 15th BPM, the teams set up a strategic monitoring point and identified the suspicious vehicle, which was being followed by two motorcycles.

Upon noticing the police's approach, the occupants attempted to flee down the road but were intercepted at km 18.

During the chase, the car used by the suspects broke down, forcing them to continue only on the motorcycles. In their escape, they encountered other service vehicles, resulting in the suspects' fall and arrest.

During the action, the presence of the Fire Department was necessary to assist one of the individuals who was injured. The suspects were taken to the 19th Urban Police Station, along with all the seized material.

The police seized 140 blocks of narcotics, totaling 176.5 kg of a substance similar to skunk (known as "super marijuana"); two motorcycles; and a red Corsa vehicle.

“This seizure demonstrates the efficiency of our troops' integrated work. The Military Police of Pará remains vigilant and committed to combating drug trafficking, removing a large quantity of narcotics that would certainly supply organized crime in the region,” highlighted the commander of CPR X, Colonel Márcio Abud.
The occurrence was presented to the Civil Police, which will continue the investigations.
