Vice Governor Hana Ghassan says that the CNH Pai D’égua provides job opportunities and inclusion for thousands of families

The State Government, through the Department of Transit of Pará (Detran), delivered this Sunday (24), more than 500 National Driver's Licenses (CNHs) from the social program CNH Pai D’égua, at the Usina da Paz in Parauapebas, in southeastern Pará. This action is part of the delivery schedule, which has already benefited thousands of residents of Pará with free licensing.

Located about 700 km from Belém, Parauapebas is one of the fastest-growing municipalities in the state and has established itself as one of Brazil's largest mining hubs, driving transportation, logistics, commerce, and service chains. In this context, obtaining a license is seen as a competitive advantage for insertion and progression in the job market.

Vice Governor Hana Ghassan emphasized the importance of the initiative for the residents of Parauapebas:

“We are in Parauapebas, at the Usina da Paz, reinforcing that the State Government is alongside the population, offering services that promote citizenship, care, and opportunities. We want to ensure that everyone has access to actions that contribute to a better life and the development of our community,” she highlighted.

In Parauapebas, where the economy revolves around mining and activities that directly depend on transportation and logistics, the delivery of CNHs reinforces the program's role as a tool for productive inclusion and social development.

Inclusion - The General Director of Detran, Renata Coelho, reinforced the importance of the CNH Pai D’égua program as an instrument of social inclusion and mobility for the residents of Pará:

“Today, in Parauapebas, we celebrate a very special moment: the delivery of CNHs that transform lives. Each license granted by the program represents not only the achievement of a document but also the opportunity for mobility, autonomy, and social participation. Detran, together with the State Government, reaffirms its commitment to bringing these opportunities to more and more citizens, promoting traffic safety and contributing to the development of our cities.”

The CNH Pai D’égua is the largest free licensing program in the country. It guarantees the first license or the change or addition of category with total exemption from costs with driving schools, medical exams, and fees, expanding opportunities for low-income workers.
