Sefa seizes R$ 138 thousand in parts for machines and equipment in southeastern Pará
The cargo left São Paulo destined for the municipality of Canaã dos Carajás

During an inspection carried out at the tax post of the State Department of Finance (Sefa) on Saturday (23), by inspectors assigned to the Coordination of Goods in Transit Control of Carajás, in the southeastern part of the state, 1,033 parts for heavy machines and equipment, such as filters, components, and accessories, were seized, valued at R$ 138,363.51.
“At the tax post in São Geraldo do Araguaia, a vehicle transporting goods from the State of São Paulo destined for the municipality of Canaã dos Carajás (southeastern Pará) was stopped. After document analysis and consultation with Sefa's systems, it was found that the goods were covered by electronic invoices declared as a shipment of goods or assets for demonstration. However, in practice, the operation fell under the category of destination to the final consumer located in the State of Pará, a situation that requires the collection of the ICMS Differential Rate (Difal),” reported the coordinator of the tax unit, Cicinato Oliveira.
Two Terms of Seizure and Deposit (TADs) were drawn up, resulting in a due amount of R$ 23,245.09, related to the ICMS and fine.
